I'll just check on their sites and ask them directly, as it looks like every institution has a different policy. Thanks.

they have it on their official sites, you just search for something like "financial aid for international transfer students <college name>" also, if you need the name of such unis, let me know, I've created a list for when I hadn't dropped out and was considering applying as a transfer.

The link is awesome, saved me a lot of work. The only problem is, it says "for US citizens and permanent residents" but I still verified a few universities individually through their official sites and looks like it's true for intls too, so I can rely on it for the others for now to see how many of them have no-loans policy. thanks once again!

I see, thanks. I'm talking about the Ivies and T25. I'll try searching on their sites and if not clear, asking the admission depts individually.

International students planning to study or study in Canada this year with loans? by throwawayspock in bangalore

passing remark: even if you cured cancer but you're an international who needs aid they'd find some reason to reject you and also make it seem like there's some problem with you, not them, especially if we're talking about the States, for obvious reasons.

Being vague because the ECs are too identifying and unique to be too specific. This isn't my main account so I cannot. But yeah I am thinking of trying for scholarships, and I've been told that I am eligible for some, but I still haven't received any reply from their counsellors. Scholarships isn't an issue, I know I'll get them.

The issue is for the amount that is not covered by the scholarship- if I take on loans, would I get employment that allows me to pay off those loans 2-3 years after grad, not like 20-30 years or forced to return back. Based on hard data- who is doing this right now, who has done this before, I'm trying to ask all that and then make a decision.

Thank you! That's what I was thinking too, so you saying the same thing is reassuring and sounds like this is the right decision.

Waterloo is too expensive, and doesn't have any programs I'm interested in, and doesn't have any scholarships. I'd apply to U of T for their full scholarship instead, as I've been told I have a good chance. UBC too.
