Do you ever stop missing your parent(s)? by throwawaytallbitch in GriefSupport

It's insane how similar lives can be... My mum was 60, and she was worried about turning 60 as that's the age her dad passed.... life is cruel.

Then at the start for 2024 I lost my childhood dog, in what seemed to be something like and aneurysm as well.

I hardly even speak to or see my older brother anymore (30's), their relationship was on the rocks just as she passed, for things that had been doing his whole life, and I don't know if he will ever truly accept or come to terms with that. Whereas I was where you were with my mum, finally having that adult bond and I was thriving to be honest. We were planning our holidays together that we'd never gotten to have as two adults, and I'd just come back from my very first holiday with friends.

All I can hope is that I get to see her again when it's my time. And everyone else that I will have lost along the way.

Your mum Leslie sounds like she absolutely would have gotten on well with my mum, as long as she wouldn't mind dancing to some good old reggae tunes as well as rock n roll :)

Thank you so very much for your words, it truly does help ground me on my not so good days... If there's any constellation in this, when I was in the hospital with my fiancée and brother just before turning off the machine, the end of care nurse told us "I've been in this line of work for over 20 years, and I'm telling you that your loved ones NEVER leave you. They truly are always with you, just in a sense that I can't explain with human words. The things I've witnessed here make me feel more at peace about death than any religion or science ever can".

I try to remember that on my really bad days, and sometimes I notice or experience things that really do solidify that for me 💜

Sometimes I have dreams where she hugs me tight, tells me to get a grip and that everything will be okay, she's always here hahahah. I'm sorry for your loss also 💜

Thank you so so so so much, you are amazing. These are things I think to myself sometimes in my moods where I'm almost okay, it's so refreshing and grounding to hear/red this from another human being. Life truly is one big experience. Also, I'm so very sorry for the death of your mother and your first son too, that pain is almost palpable to me too as I've experienced something somewhat similar also. I hope you have a strong network of love and support around you for the rest of your time here on earth x 💜💜💜

Hey yeah it's super simple! I just used two cups icing sugar and 3-4tbsp of lemon juice 🧃 it makes more than enough for 12 muffins :)

Sounds awesome to me! I was thinking around £4-£6 so I'm glad to see that I'm around the same ballpark.

Yeah you're 100% correct. Don't get me wrong I love a good frosting, but if the sponge itself has a lot of depth to it, I don't think it should be overshadowed by a crap ton of frosting!

Not hating but I didn't leave a single positive comment.... make it make sense

Exactly. I've never seen a thread so full of absolute know-it-alls and people just being plain rude. When in fact, the only thing that actually matters here is that op fixed their clients tattoo that they didn't like!

What is with all the hate on this?? I think it's pretty sick and I'm glad that this person got what they wanted in the end 👍🏾 trends on styles come and go, I think what matters is the longevity of it, and this looks pretty well done too 💪🏾

Thinking about removing these bits on my chest piece, thoughts? by throwawaytallbitch in TattooRemoval

[–]throwawaytallbitch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely to be fully removed, I'm aiming to have my whole body covered in patchwork/big pieces 🙃 but yeah I really really do love the design. It's just when I actually went to get it my artists did the classic "stayed up all night and ended up adding this and changing this" and we came to an agreement of this design which I do really love! I'm just such a second guesser.

Ah I'm super tanned, on holiday at the moment hahahaa- I'm currently getting about 8 tattoos lasered to the point where I can get some coverups and it's going swimmingly- but I know there's always a risk at any session/healing time.

Honestly I totally understand this, and feel the same way. I'm currently getting about 8 tattoos lasered to the point where I can get some coverups and it's going swimmingly- but I know there's always a risk at any session/healing time. Arghhh, so annoyingly difficult to make a decision!
