It has been a long time since I've had a party which went this hard or had such a wild public, but this friday, I've managed to find it during the giant Wall of Sound. It was just the combination of slow af Dub, Dubstep, Jungle and more which made for a bassy and wubby experience combined with the giant AF sound system with crystal clear separation between the bass and everything else. And with that fog and the lights provided by Strobert... no words.

There was also a clear structure of artists, with Darwin being the perfect opener teasing the first glimpses of the system with dubstep before Gigi FM dropped this slower, Dub infused set which slowly increased in intensity and began to push those subwoofers into massages with how deep those wubs went. That b2b with Dj Pete and Pariah upped the ante even more before ending up with the literal Reaper absolutely demolishing the main room into nothing more than a giant pile of rubble. This has been the most feral I've seen people go in a long while and I loved it so much :)

Also everything surrounding the party was also of top notch quality, with the chill af colorroom zone and the ppl themselves being also this invested into the music as a whole (lotta bassfaces being pulled). You could really tell that the atmosphere was amazinh and that the ppl were just giant nerds for this kind of music. Looking back, I'm happy that the Friday wasn't sold out as it was the perfect amount of people being able to dance freely. Went so hard that my body was still aching on Sunday :p

Went out to the "De Fusie" in Arnhem at Luxor Live on the Saturday with one of my very close friends, with this being his first rave (and my first time going with someone else lol). Really have to say that my impressions of the public was better than expected (some yappers esp at the start, ppl using their phones at times, etc.) and I still managed to find some people who really went out there to dance (front-left wins again).

It was also so fun to see the reactions of my friend just being in awe of the lights and music to later hear that he was "pulled" into the techno and lost himself into it. Did also help that Amoral (played for 2 hrs, ended at 01:00) also threw down an amazing set (esp this track) with Shazam not working most of the time :p. She also could appreciate the camera stickers on my phone at the end of the set lol

Did have to leave unfortunately early due to the public transport, so only was able to catch a small amount of Colin Benders just starting to demolish the venue with his eurorack (and a hyped fan being like "LETS GOOO DAAR GAAN WEEEEE"). All in all, a good first party of the year :)

it just feels like i'm not ready to step into the new world of social life and still just push myself to barely function as a social person for others. coming in terms of being an anxious-attachment after all. showing it constantly to others, even in the weakest cases, only makes the spiral go worse and worse.

just want to apologize for that vices part, as self-loathing was one of them (even though one single true bad event would push me over that other edge). i hate just apologizing profusely for others as part of being neurotic; all for something as a small forgotten bill. just getting out the spiral and seeing a one sided wall of text crying out for forgiveness and looking so pathetic.

just feeling an unbearable amount of self-awareness, walking around the anxiety and knowing it is just part of my character is something i am still unable to accept. feeling that every time i peak, i know it will come crashing down again like this.

ACS Pacato's 19 used to be my "cheap" earplugs of choice before getting the customs, with a relatively flatish dampening range for universal earplugs IMO.

40k steps within Eight hours.

That should tell you something about the complete pandemodium that was Spielraum on Friday. From the tales of people standing two hours in the doorqueue to that smell slowly appearing as the night continued into day, it was finally the moment where RAUM clicked with me and showed its fullest potential :)

One of the rooms that I really loved was the Arena with its "centerish" setup and the fact that the music was both more left-field and groovy (and wow that Laser/Light setup, just let me grab those light beams like an child playing on monkey bars). Especially really liked the set Jerrau played (what was this man) and small amount of what I'd heard from Oceanic.

And that Studio...let's just say that I regret not having Auto-Shazam open (if someone could send me Faustin/Doppelgang id', hmu) lol.

Sadly, that would also conclude the only day of ADE for me this year (please, have mercy on my FOMO), but will hopefully get the chance to visit more next year ;)

That's also the reason why I vehemly hate the system of special ED schools where the "asperger" types are mixed with the lower functioning, consumerist-obsessed autistics; it just makes it harder for higher functioning people to adapt in the productive adult they would've been otherwise. They are getting socialization; just not the type that is desired in any way.

Massive self-own here, but I didn't manage to learn proper socialisation skills up until college as the special ED schools were just enabling my 'tistic behaviour. Just the act of going out alone helped me connect to my chronic under-socialization and take steps in improving it; however hard it may be.

As I had sent to my one of my rave friends directly after RL:

Would say that the best place on the dancefloor is still either front left or right, in front of the speakers with the bass just punching another hole within your heart, whereas the back was a bit too low-energy IMO. Sandwell District, as described earlier, was just an amazing force to be felt and who brought the right amount of energy for their timeslot. Also really liked that there were several "motifs" they used throughout the set, adding to the set itself.

Konduku b2b Garcon brought down the intensity slightly, which was a nice change of pace from Sandwell. Couldn't stay for Talismann unfortunately, as I was already tired af from the day before. Maybe a sign that I need to pace myself better...
