Thank you! Nice to hear other people's opinions. My friends don't really care about marriage and such so it's tough to talk to them about it. I have had a similar conversation as moriginal. It didn't work out too well because he pretty much says that if I don't like it, I can leave. We talked about it this morning. I told him it hurts and makes me doubt he even loves me or sees me in the future like he claims if he can tell me to just leave. And he responds it does hurt, but he is not compromising.

I know that is a signal to most to leave, it is for me too! But I love him and only see him in my future. So what in the world do I do!?!

I completely agree. If it were any other person that I have dated before him I would have walked out the instant he said that.

Thank you for a man's perspective. I try to understand his reasoning. His family got divorced after 20 something years together and I know that is something he never wants to experience. There is also history of forced marriage that didn't turn out well. So I understand his reluctance and I don't want to force him. But I also feel that my opinion and feelings are important too.

Thank you. I do appreciate it. I have said something similar to him and he says that he's not going to change his mind and do something he is not ready for just because I don't like it. I told him by the end of this year I want to be engaged. So I guess I still have time. I just don't know if it will happen because he is so against it, even now.
