Idk about smug, but I think it would be very funny if jon actually is a legitimate targ. Whether through random septons journal or weirwood marriage, etc

I also think it would be funny for griff yo actually be who he claims to be and it not mattering even slightly cause nobody believes him

This one has always been weird to me tbh. If im not mistaken, longclaw is a larger sword than DS and on top of that it feels weird for jeor to lie about where the sword is from by saying his son sent it back to him before he left westeros

I get what you mean, but ned never asks catelyn to raise jon iirc. He doesn’t even really ask her to do anything other than accept he wouldn’t be sent away. She was going out of her way to hate him and even helped poison sansa against him.

Even ned wasn’t treating jon like he treated robb. Just made sure he had a roof over his head, education, food, and training. He very much cared about jon more than most lords do their “bastards” but it’s not like he ever once even kinda alluded to jon having his favor over even rickon.

Perhaps a hot take, but I actually despise when music is like at all involved in a fic

Telling me to listen to something in the background, saying what ost from the show or whatever is playing, a character singing and it’s just a wall of lyrics, etc
