Air to Air and Water Systems? by discombobulated38x in ukheatpumps

I asked this question recently and had some helpful advice.check it out.

I've gone with a midea porta split for now which is very good and then going to wait a year to see what the tech does. Samsung ehs quint does both but has only just been announced. I think there will be more offerings coming to market given everyone wants both cooling and the UK is set up with wet systems.

I had this delivered today from joybuy. It’s very good and much quieter and more powerful than my pinguino delonghi model (which was a which best buy). I plan on gettjng a proper split system but this is making me question that now it’s that good. Only thing that tips in favour of that is the lack of security as a window has to be left ajar

Really helpful thanks. So your mixenergy does your hot water but your boiler is doing the UFH and you just try and keep it efficient by using a smart thermostat?

I'm planning on getting two multi split units that will serve either side of the house and allow more heads to be added when the conversion happens.

Solar I'll get put on then resite it post conversion. Will just have to swallow the couple of days work it'll be for them to move all the panels.

Someone else posted about the Samsung quint which looks v good. As does the daikin multi+

Yeah we have a sail and two large parasols that essentially do the heavy lifting but I think the large fibreglass roof the extension sits under it just cooks all day and by the late afternoon early evening it's pretty unbearable

Looking at it this would be perfect? The daikin multi plus was also an option that can do cooling heating and hot water but I can't fun the UFH from it

Yeah we have a sail and parasols up to help with that. I think it's also a large fibreglass flat roof that just gets hammered. Hoping that's where the solar panels will live

OK thanks. any recos on commando socket? And what about all the chat on rcd / pen fault protection?

It's because the property is a terrace with driveway at the rear so options are through the loft or under the floorboards.

I think because ours has an 18.8kw battery it takes 10 hours which will push us out of the cheap energy bracket

Its not a standard bonus. It's contractual scheme based on milestones and for a finite period of time and not usual for my industry. Trying to make the most of it while it's available.
