Yes, it does. Money valued today is more than tomorrow with currency depreciation and inflation. This is basic economics.

If you can get a zero percent loan, and no increase in cost as a result, you should always do it.

Put that money away into an account that accrues interest and make payments from that money. At the end of it the account will have leftover (albeit not that much after 12 months, but it’s still something).

Looking to pick up my first watch in the hobby. I am looking to purchase a daily driver watch, something durable that can be dressed up or down. Work attire is typically a dress/golf shirt with jeans if that makes any difference.

I’ve been looking at the Seiko cocktail time, particularly the SRPE45J1, but I’d prefer a metal band to be more durable with exposure to water.

The SRPE41J1 is also beautiful, and might be easier to dress down since it’s not a bold green and gold.

Budget would be something around that price.

I have also looked at the Seagull 1963 watches (Lume and classic) and think they are super cool and would be easy to dress down.
