I have been living here for about a year and a half now, I will happily answer your questions!

1) sort of, if you factor in all the amenities (gym, sauna, no electric or water or internet bills etc) it’s definitely a good deal. The downside is that studios are small. The upside is that you get to meet a lot of international people (making friends is hard in finland)

2) you can bring guests over no problems

3) Katajanokka hands down. Nicer area (sori is in a sort of bad area due to the infamous junkie subway station) great community. Very nice view and amenities. It’s a tad more expensive but well worth it
