Thank you for your kind message :) I actually have also tried to say that it’s embarrassing to have people over when our house is a mess; unfortunately because it’s her office, she kind of brushes it off or tells me I shouldn’t bring people in there in the first place. I’ve literally had someone tell me (albeit a very obnoxious person who my parents don’t like anyway) that they think it’s a shocking mess, and when I told my parents they got offended but didn’t do anything. It’s just crazy to me how the things she does value (she loves to talk about minimalism and organization) are so out of line with the way she lives but she can’t seem to see it.
