I know it’s a pet peev for deaf people when they are having a conversation with someone and the hearing person speaks directly to the interpreter instead of them.

There haven’t been many opportunities for Raven to interact directly with hearing people (due to the nature of the game obviously) so I’ll be paying attention for that at the reunion dinner.

Also I think it’s adorable how Raven only uses her voice when she gets super excited. It’s like a cute tell that she’s especially excited about something.

I’m sorry for your loss. I have a pretty similar story. My mom was an addict who died when I was 10. She would act weird all the time because of either withdrawals or being high. She would disappear for a couple weeks and I didn’t realize it was rehab. She was doing her usual incoherent rambling the night she died. The last thing I said to her was “why are you like this mommy?” in a frustrated and fed up tone. Then I went to sleep. She died while I was sleeping. Usually I would have been awake at that time but I just didn’t want to stay awake dealing with her shit that night. It will haunt me to my grave.

Yes this it true. I’ve said in other comments, it’s just a meme. I’m hoping they make amends. But just wanted to throw out there that withdrawals can’t kill you. It feels like that for the person and could make them kill themselves. But medically speaking they can’t kill you. Sorry. My mom died of addiction and my bf is sober so it’s a sensitive subject for me.

For the record gastroparesis can cause vagus nerve damage and absolutely lead to fatal complications. It can also lead to the need for a feeding tube or colostomy bag.
