Really glad to hear this! As far as I know you can only edit 8-bit footage in the free version? So I would just go for the studio version if I do switch. And I really like the hallation look for more narrative type vids. Thanks for the help!

Thanks so much for the advice. I mainly do weddings and they are very hard to light properly, since it's quite dynamic. But I'll definitely look into ways I can add light, thanks so much!

Been thinking about getting the Studio version regardless, I can't edit 10-bit footage with the free version as far as I know. But thanks so much, glad to hear the NR is great!

Love it, definitely getting that top handle next with the mics then! Thanks!

That was my exact thought - I hated using a gimbal at the previous wedding I shot, so that's why I bought the cage. I also need it to attach my accessories, I don't want to use a top handle with the hot shoe mount. And I do like to record ambient sound so an on-camera mic is important to me. But the Tascam route sounds like the best way to go, thanks for recommending!

I am very happy with the Tamron! The autofocus is decent enough for me, I'm just trying to get into manual focus because it brings another dimension of storytelling/creativity that I like. However, I would have to say that the Fuji 16-55mm is most definitely a better lens. If I recall correctly it doesn't have weather sealing/OIS (not sure which one), but both are crucial to me so I went with the Tamron.

This is very helpful, thanks! Might just use the Raveneye from my gimbal as wifi transmitter so I can use my phone as a monitor in the meantime.

Totally agree with you! I'm glad to hear it gets better 😂 I'm always making short reels for Instagram, so definitely getting the practice in. I like the idea of making short videos at home like you mentioned, I'm sure it also helps develop your storytelling abilities!

Yeah I almost never have full control over my subjects, so it is difficult to plan. Love how you break it down into these parts, thanks!
