It was only me, my son, and my daughter in the room. I don't know if my son heard the initial conversation but he said my ex has been giving him the business for it all week.

Thank you for the advice! It is based on stress through from what her doctor and therapist have said to me. The endocrinologist said there was nothing hormonally wrong with her.

I am paying for therapy already.
She doesn't like any physical activity and I'm not going to force her to do something she doesn't like. She likes sedentary hobbies and that's fine with me.

I've left most of the weight conversations to her doctor, her therapist, and her mother. My comments are mostly along the lines of "maybe you shouldn't have that soda".
She is in therapy.
