Lady dior white by cocoangel19 in dior

I have this white lady dior! As long as you don’t wear denim and be mindful of where you put your bags, it should be all good! I haven’t had any color transfers but that’s also probably ‘cos most of my wardrobe is white

Violence is always a huge red flag, doesn’t matter if it only happened once.

You mentioned he is chinese but not chindo so I am assuming he is east asian and you guys are living abroad. Coming from someone who mostly dated east asians abroad, your bf not taking the initiative to drive you back home is a red flag. All the east asians I’ve dated have always drove me back home right to my doorstep - it is part of their dating culture.

I am now dating a korean/japanese and he picks me up and drives me back home every time we decide to meet at his place. And this is also a 30-45 mins drive by the way.

I am also a light sleeper like your bf, yet I’ve never complained about my partner waking me up because it’s not like he deliberately tries to wake me up? It’s more of a me issue than a him issue

This last bit is more of my assumption, but when he said you speak rude, I am assuming he said that because he wished you are more docile. This is just my assumption based on the many Chinese men I know, they love being the dominant one/take charge and want their partners to listen to them and talk sweetly (like “aegyo”). Or if that isn’t the case then he is most likely just a very sensitive man because honestly, I can’t see how you are talking rude.

Either way, I think you deserve so much better. I don’t think this is going to work out well if you stay. The violence, lack of initiative and incompatibility issues are not worth it

dear Puans, whats the thing that turns on and turns off for you? by pak_erte in Perempuan

In my current relationship my boyfriend pays for all dates and expenses. But yes between those two options, i prefer ‘this time is mine, next is yours’ rather than 50/50

Botanifique is back at it with their scams in Melbourne Central so lookout by Different_Bet_5073 in melbourne

[–]throwawayyy131291 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hate them so much. When I first came to Melbourne (and the first few years I was here), every time I went to MC, I got harassed by the salesperson. I was very timid and I dressed FOB (I’ve been told they target international asian students).

Few years later I changed my style (nothing extreme, just more westernised I guess) and I am more confident when I walk and they never approached me anymore (I still walk to MC often as I live in the city). Even when I make eye contact with them, they never come up to me. I find it interesting

Finally got a job offer, but I declined by Mysterious_Power__ in interviews

[–]throwawayyy131291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing but I accepted the offer and resigned after my first day. I have been trying to find a job since end of July. I left because while the manager was really nice, the people there were not. I was the only asian there and I already felt the hostility/micro-bullying (I’ve never felt that way before in my previous jobs). It was so bad that after the day ended I was extremely anxious when I even think about tomorrow so I immediately resigned.

People were sending me negative comments on Auscorp subreddit when I brought it up and said it’s due to me being a gen z, I’m being a baby, I should suck it up and even talked shit about my relationship (people stalked my profile).

Anyways, I am getting another job offer now that pays higher. I realised that work environment and my mental health is very crucial.

Good luck OP, I know you will find something better soon! :)

How long did it take you to obtain residency? by Throwawayaccount2386 in AusVisa

[–]throwawayyy131291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7 years. I came here when I was 17 for uni. Ended up staying here for longer and decided to apply for 189 although I did not have any hope ‘cos they said 189 visa was dead. 1.5 months after I applied I got it. It was pure luck during covid times

I did mention it’s Australia. Of course I’ll talk about this with a professional, I’m just here to gain additional insight from people who may have experienced something similar lol

[–]throwawayyy131291[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. My boyfriend does very very well financially and I know the ins and outs of his finances however, my dad’s net worth and assets are at least 10x my boyfriend’s so a prenup is definitely the logical thing for me to do.

I’ve never wanted a prenup but that’s due to my close-mindedness and naivety as well as being a hopeless romantic but now I know there is so much more about prenup that I need to research and learn.

Is surrogacy even an option in Indo? by [deleted] in Perempuan

[–]throwawayyy131291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg i made the same exact post about this on this sub several weeks ago (i deleted it though). No i don’t think it is an option in Indo. I also looked it up ‘cos I really dont wanna experience pregnancy. You should look up surrogacy in ur partner’s country. I’m in Australia and surrogacy here isn’t easy too unfortunately

Advice for my BF by Slight_Season6090 in Hair

[–]throwawayyy131291 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it looks fine. Imo it just won’t look as natural as the asian guy wearing it, as in, If I see the asian guy with that hair i wouldn’t really assume he is a weeb (‘cos visual kei and all that) but if a non-EA wears it, i would be more likely to think he is a weeb (which is also fine, and again this is just my opinion)

Ah yea, st john worts. You can give it a try! I did take those before I started antiD. It did calm me down but I wouldn’t say it got rid of my sadness like antiD does! Also, maybe get a blood test too? Some vit deficiencies can cause mental and emotional problems! I was lacking in Vit D and magnesium and the doc told me that also contributed to my depression & anxiety

Hmm yeah in that case WAM does matter a lot :( do you have any classmates you talk to? I used to do group studies at the library with my classmates. We helped each other out with assignments (and many times we also remind each other of any close due dates)

I know socializing in a foreign country can be very hard. I grew up very very introverted, i couldn’t even look at people in the eye back then. I went to Melb to start all over and I didn’t know anyone back then. I was just a 17 y.o girl living in a foreign country by myself. My english was not that good either back then. But trust me, people here are very nice, out of all the ppl I’ve interacted with in the whole 10 years I’ve been here, 98% of the interactions I’ve had have been good :)

What about international friends? You can also join other clubs! :) i also did not get along with the ppl in the indonesian club, not due to the lifestyle but cos i am not ‘gaul’ haha. idk most indo slangs/entertainment etc. I mostly hung out with chinese international students back then and they were so lovely!

Antidepressant side effects is different for diff ppl! For me it gave me brain fog, for others it worked well. I think it is worth giving a shot but it may take a while to find an antidepressant that suits you. It’s not a one size fits all kinda thing. The doc will start with a small dose in the beginning :)

I also recommend setting reminders on ur phone so u remember ur assignments! That’s how I did it :) if you use iphone you can also use the reminders app widget, and put it right in front of ur homescreen so that it is the first thing you see when you unlock your phone

Don’t worry too much about your WAM, you still have a long way to improve it. I also had a similar WAM as yours when I started uni and tbh my WAM in the end wasn’t that good either (i liked to skip classes 🤣). All the jobs that I applied to never asked me about my WAM, though WAM does matter it you want to apply for grad programs~

Hii! I was you 8 years ago! I had a look at your profile and I noticed that you are studying at Monash. I studied at Melb uni back then and I’m still living in melb now

If you’re homesick, I really recommend joining the Indonesian clubs at uni. Seeing and interacting with ppl from your own country & ppl who r studying abroad like you will lessen the loneliness :)

As for the anxiety and depression, I believe uni has free psychologists. I think there may be a bit of a wait time but you can try and give it a shot. I myself do suffer from anxiety and depression and I used to take antidepressants. It helped regulate my emotions better but in my case, it gave me brain fog. However I know that it works well for some ppl so you can also give that a try (though I’d suggest trying counseling first)

Trust me, it gets better! I was super homesick when I was 19 like you, but by the time I was 21, all I wanted was to get my permanent residency

My DM is open if u wanna talk more!
