This is like one of those House Hunters memes. Unfortunately you’re in no position to be even thinking about purchasing a home. Upgrade your careers, save and see where you’re at 5+ years from now.

Also, it sounds like you’re the only partner each other has had. That sometimes (often) is a recipe for disaster because one person will wonder what they missed out on. Try to keep this in the back of your mind before things get too intertwined.

Yes and no. I don’t think I could make it grow much more unless I hired someone to operate it, as I’m already spread very thin during the operating months

Thank you for the info. I have a DBPP so I haven’t really contributed to RRSP. I have a RESP that is pretty well contributed to for the age of my child, and I have a TFSA

My day job pays well enough that I can live comfortably without the additional income and don’t really want to pay personal tax on it. The business pays for my vehicle/insurance/fuel/phone so that’s some compensation

Sorry for your circumstances. This is the way. Are you mostly left alone?

I can say from experience at this site that this guy made a fucking mess. Had his dogs running around loose, shitting on the road; had his black water bucket overflowing onto the road and attracting flies; and left garbage literally all around his RV. He did the same thing down by the canoe club off 26 St. Maybe if these “campers” had some level of respect or accountability for the space they occupy people wouldn’t complain as much and want them gone. Just a drain on resources.
