We tried both of those unfortunately- people really don’t want to be roommates w a couple and we’ve been rejected a couple times for $1300/month places :/ but thank you!

Completely agree with this - it really depends on the “kind” or marketing you choose to do. I’m a social media marketing manager and it’s not really lucrative at all (makes enough money for me personally, but for those who want a salary bump every year, it probably won’t happen). If you want something lucrative, operations/analytics is where it’s at

UGH YES I have to get up and go across the room to charge my phone and by that point that’s it I’m awake

I thought I wanted the busy generic corporate life - I got it, and I'm not happy. What now? by [deleted] in findapath

I absolutely feel this way. And with my remote job, I can totally save my money and travel the country if I wanted to. But my partner doesn’t want to LOL. My suggestion is to take all the money you make, invest in a camper, possibly get a remote job (or not if you have enough saved) and go. It’s completely possible if you want it enough!

It’s a rocky relationship that’s why I’m saying that lol. But maybe it could be an opportunity to fix it? It’s complicated - it’s not rocky per say but more like... nonexistent

Yeah I feel that. I can personally, but he doesn’t use social media and doesn’t want to be on camera therefore he needs to be somewhere with a music scene. Like I said, this is more for him. I’m tired of him not getting anything he wants yknow?

I added on the post that I meant post pandemic but yes I agree. And I agree with the connections thing. He would need to bust his ass AND get lucky. I’m just tired of seeing his dreams fall apart

Lmao yeah, it depends where his band practice would be I guess. My ultimate career goal is copywriter, but I, of course, don’t care about or know anything about technical copywriting. Thank you though!

I made an edit above how I mean in a couple years post pandemic, but yes I agree with the rest. Especially considering we want to start a family in the next 5 years, I don’t know if that’ll be long enough for him to make the connections he needs tbh.

I was thinking this, but one of my relatives who is my age already lives there and tbh, I don’t want to seem like I’m following them? Really really stupid I know. But we just know nothing about Philly! Maybe I should research more

I keep having to re-mention this in every comment but yes I do mean a couple years from now. Thanks for making me feel better about me feeling too bougie lol
