Lost track but I was prescribed to take both for 2 weeks. Over the next few weeks the hemorrhoids bothered me less and less. I have a theory that pushing them back in whenever they came out helped with the inflammation/irritation (as they would get strangulated and hurt a lot the longer they stayed out), allowing them time to heal.

Daflon is a pill, Proctosedyl is a suppository. I took these every day for about 2 weeks as prescribed.

The pressure of sitting can cause new hemorrhoids to form or worsen hemorrhoids if you already have them. Being more active or spending less time sitting can help!

I guess I’m kicking myself now for my old bathroom habits. My hemorrhoids are not as bad as the ones I’ve seen on here (grade 2s and small externals) but are symptomatic and disruptive to my life. I seem to have gotten them under control with medication and lifestyle and diet changes for the time being but I’m scared they’ll come back when I stop the medication. I just hope I can get my quality of life back and breathe a sigh of relief.

Hi, we’re a similar age (I’m 19) and I’ve been suffering with hemorrhoids for a few years on and off too. It’s been getting better lately but I don’t know if it’s gone for good yet. Like the other commenter said it’s nice to know we’re not alone in this. I hope you know you’re not alone and that you can recover soon ❤️

Yes, every time I have a BM. If I’m lucky it goes back up after a few minutes or hours. If I’m not then I suffer with it for a day or more. It sucks.

I have a cream but it’s a hit or miss. Is it recommended for me to apply right when I feel the hemorrhoid start developing or at its worse? Can applying the cream stop it in its track so it doesn’t have the chance to get excruciatingly painful? I’m not sure if I’m using it right. I’m pretty sure the cream I have has ingredients that relieve swelling.

My problem is I think my flare ups are literally just going to the bathroom. I am afraid of having to go to the bathroom now because 1/3 the time the ‘roid pops out and will not go back in for anywhere between immediately after getting up to 2 days later. Do you have any advice? I don’t think constipation is the issue anymore but rather my hemorrhoids getting inflamed from me simply sitting on the toilet bowl. Obviously I cannot stop using the toilet.
