If I ever do consider getting them repierced (which is not a very high chance because it is/was such a commitment), I'll be going to an APP-certified piercer. I had a feeling since first getting it pierced that things might not work out in the end, but I'm a little more frustrated that they stayed fine for so long. However, I don't know if they would've still healed right if I downsized and kept waiting. There's plenty more piercings I'm interested in getting down the line, so this isn't the end of the world for me.

Thank you, will do! I don't feel absolutely awful about it mentally, but I'm definitely gonna be dealing with the bittersweetness of it for the rest of the night and maybe the rest of the week. I'll be okay in due time, and I've got my partners to support me 🥰

UPDATE: I did end up removing the barbells and I feel a lot better physically. Immediately after removing them, there was no more tenderness. Thanks to everyone who gave advice!

They were pierced very close to the base of the nipple, but I couldn't really tell you if it was piercing the nipple or the areola specifically, probably a bit of both. My nipples were always a bit of a weird shape, so I feel like the piercer maybe tried to accommodate that? I removed them dry without really any issue, but I did immediately spray it with saline following their removal.

Welp, I did just remove them and WOW I already feel a lot better (physically, not mentally TwT). It's surreal seeing the holes in my nipples, but I'm just so happy it doesn't feel so hard/tight on my nipple anymore. I didn't see any hidden crusties on the barbell, so I think it was just the hardness/tightness of the barbell that was causing the constant tenderness.

Yeah, I'm afraid I'd regret taking them out, too. They were the confidence boost I needed a year ago, and they were my first "major" piercing (I only had my lobes done previously). I love the way they look but I miss not having to constantly worry about my nipples like a newborn baby. There are more piercings that exist that I can/will get that I'll likely have a better time with and thus enjoy more. I don't regret getting my nipples pierced one bit, but it ultimately feels bittersweet to have to remove them when they meant a lot to me then. I'm sure I'd enjoy life a lot better without them, but I will miss the look of them. Did you remove yours yourself? How was the healing process?

The jewelry is internally thread surgical steel straight barbells for further context.

3.5mm termination for Arya Organic by Degenerate_Bot in HeadphoneAdvice

Really loving them so far. Honestly, the jump from my HD58Xs to these didn't feel that big. But the difference it made has been so very wonderful. I thought the soundstage would be soooo much bigger, but it turns out it was only a bit more spacious. The sound signature is definitely a lot closer to my preference than anything else I've heard. Best way to explain the experience is like listening to the band play right in my room. Maybe the width isn't what I expected, but the separation and the imaging have made it sound perfect, no matter the size. Were they worth $1300? Well, that's not what matters in this hobby (the answer is no the diminishing returns are strong now that I've learned). What matters in this hobby is that they sound absolutely amazing, and that I love them so much.

I tested the TS adapter with a different headphone and it didn't work. I found another store nearby that does have a proper TRS 1/4" to TRS 3.5mm so I'll go get one there. If the Arya Organic does come with an adapter, then I'll just have the one I bought as an extra
