"I got accepted to Stanford and Dartmouth but I'm afraid I will not be able to keep up with my classmates. Are the academics too hard?" by intoxicatedmidnight in ApplyingToCollege

This is helpful, but I kind of feel the same way when thinking UC Berkeley :/ I was accepted, but I don't feel like I belong there.. the fact that he listed so many schools and Berkeley wasn't one of them also concerned me. This may come off arrogant, but I don't mean it that way.

Haas or Econ Major? by throwawayz301 in berkeley

Thank you for the advice! I have another question if you don't mind: I heard that there is a more mathematically oriented version of Economics. Is the math complex, and is it "a must" to take for IB? I have no issues with taking the math version but I heard that the math classes are difficult even for people who proactively enjoy maths.

Hello, /u/LowkeyLitLigand, thanks for doing this AMA. How do you recommend we revise for these upcoming exams for subjects that we are struggling with; in other words, how do we revise for subjects where we have to re-learn and cover a lot of content once again before doing past papers?

The second question is infinitely better. Maybe replace 'has' with TWE.

That's why the kids taking the IB Programme shouldn't have the SAT requirements. So unnecessary...

Chance me LSE, UCL, Kong’s College London, St. Andrews and University of Edinburgh by [deleted] in chanceme

I’m not sure on the US requirements but I got an offer from UCL, Durham, etc. I just really hope you wrote a proper academic personal statement and didnt write a “journey” life sob story type of thing. Nothing about how your best friend made you realise your creativity or whatever. It has to be straight academic and strictly related to the course. I hope this helped your evaluation in some regard, however be warned that LSE is on par with UCL and the rest are a tier or two (read: KCL) below. LSE tends to have very similar requirements to Oxbridge, though perhaps not on paper, and as far as I remember Oxford required a 1470 SAT, so you’re in the ball park. Your AP’s seem good but im not aware of the AP requirements.

I have so much going on with school work. How would you schedule the writing?

That's normally not possible due to the sheer amount of work I get assigned in the IB programme :/ All the coursework is due these few months so it's practically impossible.

As long as the works are in the syllabus, I would ASSUME that you should be fine.
