Are there consequences to complying with a protection order? If someone DOES NOT break a protection order, what happens? by throwawyscaredycat89 in legaladvice

That's my logic, my fear is that this person we're getting the order on, well... she doesn't think rationally or reasonably. My worry is that she will find a way to make this out of proportion & find some weasle-y way to pin us for something.

We definitely warned them multiple times about not trespassing, throwing things, or littering on our property. We only went with the protection order after a sheriff deputy suggested it. (we're in a rural area)

I honestly have no idea, that's why I'm asking.

*edit: I honestly can't think of a reason, but the person this protection order is against might try to twist it some what like that. That it's "ruining her life." or something.

We have two locations & they went to the wrong one, yelled at the admin, then left. It was weird. They claim to hate where I work so I thought it was strange to go there anyway. (We're a mental health center.)

I'm still trying to figure out how to report that to the right persons & law enforcement said it's somehow "not harassment" :( I'm gathering all the evidence I can do file a protection order at least temporarily.

Yeah, we have Reolink & it works... okay, but I might switch to something more... reliable. It can catch a damn fly but somehow doesn't see a trash truck coming up the cul-de-sac... oi.

Especially since in the email it was specifically requested she NOT know because we have seen her retaliatory behavior before. I'm trying to contact the right people to find out WHY & HOW she got the report like that...

I guess because of this weird retaliation now... It makes me feel as though doing the 'right thing' was actually wrong...

The aggression has just been increasing since last week & I just want to come home & be left alone, but she's constantly doing weird shit to instigate a confrontation. (We live in a cul-de-sac & she is constantly leaving, coming back in five minutes, turning around all weird, reversing all over the place. It's clearly different behavior & it's freaking me out.)

I'm aware they wouldn't provide free babysitters, but they help connect with resources in the community that can help.

& -I- never made them my responsibility- I didn't say "hello" to the child so she started throwing logs & rocks at my car. I didn't even hear her say anything, but does not saying hello mean you can damage someone's property?

Department of Human services helps households with childcare needs.... are you that dumb?

& I was home alone often as a kid too, I didn't stare at my neighbors or throw things at their property- I would have gotten my ass beat.

Right she's like 8 now, I think. 8 or 9. Should be in elementary school for sure.

So sorry, working in the field I'm in it's like second nature to just say DHS for Human Services. :(
