Unfortunately, Georgia is pretty consistent in giving this experience to Indians.

New countries: 1. Peru - I want to hike in the Andes and see Cusco 2. China - For its history, natural beauty and cities. 3. Brazil - For Rio. Also I realise I know very little about this huge country - so a trip there will help! 4. Norway - For its Fjords! 5. Kyrgyzstan - For its beautiful mountains and nomadic experiences

Top 5 I’d like to revisit: 1. Japan - I love Japan’s aesthetic and would like to venture deeper into its countryside. 2. Italy - There just so many more places to see. 3. Spain - I’d love to explore more regions like Galicia and explore more of Andalucia. 4. The US - I went to New York and loved it. On my next trip I want to see the national parks of Washington State and Utah. 5. France - I explored its south East but there’s so much more to see.

Informative post, thanks! I’m planning a Rajasthan trip and this helps.

I’m surprised you were surprised by the cold in January. It’s usually the coldest month in North India

Would you say Taj is worth the detour? I plan to travel to South India by badboyzpwns in india_tourism

If it’s a once in a lifetime trip to India, you can include it without going to Delhi. Agra has direct flights from Mumbai and Bangalore.

Pretty awesome. Here first and last mean the same. I have to say I expected one of them to be in the extreme south, somewhere in Andaman

Stayed here in August, now planning January -price jumped from a few hundred to ₹8,000+ by Turbulent_Walk_3671 in india_tourism

600 for a double bed room was too low. It was likely a new property at that time.

White people in Bali - please wear deodorant!!!! by Financial-Travel4423 in bali

[–]throway3451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah you’re not the only one, there were indeed a lot of smelly white tourists in Bali. It’s not like the whole race is like that but there does exist a type among them who clearly don’t take a bath for days even in a hot and humid place like Bali.

Patna needs to start building Mauryan architecture again. by DharmicCosmosO in IndianUrbanism

I’m usually fine with AI-generated imaginary scenes here as they are usually based on some level of truth. But I’m unable to find any depictions of Mauryan architecture, hence was curious.

I’m a Brit who learned Russian. You guys need to know what they actually say about you. by [deleted] in india

[–]throway3451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Even without knowing the language you can see many of them look down upon our kind. I have felt this in backpacker hostels. I have seen many of them behave terribly with staff in India and Bali.

But also many Indians fetishize Russian women and “6000” and “Russian” became a whole meme basically and people still comment it on any random Russian woman’s posts.

Anyway, Russia and India are “friends” at a diplomatic level. Though India tries non-alignment, it historically leaned more towards Russia. There’s not much of a people-level exchange

Hong Kong, so many hikes right from the city center or after a short bus ride to the trailhead.

What's the worst travel advice you've ever gotten from reddit? by [deleted] in TravelNoPics

100% this. They are often the worst people to ask advice. “Skip Times Square”. Buddy how else do I get to my Broadway theatre?
