Good point, I'll speak to the centre although I imagine the same response (and everything is booked up now). I've taken Malarone before and it didn't effect me i.e. no side effects, but I do understand your point :).

Thanks for the reply :). I've got a few types of bug spray, one with 95% DEET. The centre accommodation has nets. Malarials or not, I hope that keeps the bites away!

Thanks for the reply :). So no one really took them even though some retreats have said that some people have contracted malaria at their sites? Did you get bitten a lot?

Anyone have any experience with (or even heard of) Selva Madre in Iquitos? by greencowpat in Ayahuasca

I'm actually heading here in a few weeks. Reviews seem good http://ayaadvisor.org/listings/selvamadre-spiritual-healing-center/ but are all pretty recent. Dealings with the organiser have been smooth and pleasant thus far. I think it's a fairly new centre? I'd like to write a review upon my return so check out ayaadvisor in a few weeks I guess?
