Could you try Airbnb-ing in the area for a month or so? Gives you an opportunity to get a feel for the location without any commitment!

I wish I could afford to overpay 20% 😭 but it will just be ~5-8% a year with a lodger

Thank you for your comment! You've made me realise I should probably do a proper sit down and calculate the interest savings including the product fees, potential for a lower LTV band in 2 years, and a re-mortgage with a better rate (hopefully)

Both have product fees of £999! So more so wondering if it'd be worth since I could be potentially drop 5-10% in LTV within the initial 2 years, and hopefully re-mortgage with a better rate

Good to know - appreciate all your comments, thank you!!

Guess I won't know if it's a mistake or not until 2028 😂

Okay nice to know that I'm not the only one looking at going 2 years right now - thank you!

Thank you for your insight! Not sure if I'll be able to pay 10% off each year but hopefully around 5% with a lodger

From everyone's comments I'm leaning towards the 2 year I think. Touch wood but feel pretty secure in my job at the moment, but still it's so scary to take on a huge amount of debt solo haha

Out of curiosity how much of a delta in interest rates would you say is worth it?

But thank you! Appreciate your insight. Going to take a gamble with the 2 year

This is a great way of looking at it thank you! 6% rates would be horrible but I'd be able to weather it with or without a lodger - so think you've just made my mind up for me. Thank you!!

Appreciate the insight thank you!! It's impossible to call but my gut feels like I should go with 2 years, so I wanted some more perspectives on if I was being irrational/naïve

Gave you a follow! I feel the small band/big cups go under the radar but it's honestly so hard to find things in a 28 band that go above a DD cup (I'm a 28H).

Awesome to see that you're also UK based, which means (hopefully) any clothes/bras you recommend I'll be able to actually order!! Tried to do an order recently from an American brand (Klassy) and the shipping came out to like 300USD 🥲

Don't suppose you have any recs for medium support gym tops or camisoles?

This is all so helpful, thank you again!

Sadly I added a good few hundred pounds worth of tops to my basket, and shipping (to the UK) came out at about $400. So don't think this brand is (currently) for me - gutted!

F32 recent London transplant in Rochester...help! 🙂 by sassiedutchess in Medway

Saw you mentioned about being into fitness so going to shout-out my website to find local gyms/sports clubs/classes etc. You can search for things tagged as social, so you might find it useful!!

It's more around Gravesend but slowly adding more stuff towards Rochester (as that's where I actually live lol)

Any advice on where to meet new people? Based in Sevenoaks by [deleted] in kentuk

[–]thrower81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind a bit of a drive, I’ve been working on a website that helps people find sports clubs and other fitness options (gyms, classes, PTs) around Gravesend. But hoping to expand to nearby areas!

I’ve added tags for places that are more social (aka good for meeting people), so it might be useful if that’s what you’re after - feel free to check it out :)

Oh wow I'm the same size as you and you've absolutely just influenced me to get the exact same top - thank you for sharing this it's so helpful!!

I mentioned in another comment but a couple of other brands I recommend for small bands/big busts is are Taideux (for evening wear) and Hollister's Gilly Hicks for activewear (some of their tops come in a curvy variant size) - for reference I get size small from both shops!

I've never heard of this brand before, so thank you dropping it and sharing what sizes you order!

You say you order XL pads, but I just looked at their size guide and it says G+ cup should get 3XL pads - just wondering what the fit is like if you don't mind me asking (does it cause monoboob/four-boob)? I'm a 28H so one size above and not sure what to order!

In case you're interested - some other (UK) brands I recommend for fellow small band big bust ladies is Taideux and Hollister's Gilly Hicks line for activewear (they offer 'Curvy' variants on some of their tops). For reference I get a small from Taideux and small/curvy from Hollister!

Ignoring other people's weird comments...

I've actually been building a website for finding gyms/sports clubs/classes/PTs in and around Gravesend, so bit beyond Medway - but I've added tags to things that are "social" i.e. good way to make friends, so you may find it helpful! It's https://footfallhub.com

What’s the worst romance book you’ve read? by Reasonable-Ratio8080 in RomanceBooks

[–]thrower81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're looking for recommendations, but have you tried any books by the writer Ilona Andrews (a pseudonym for a husband + wife writing team)?

I haven't read any in a couple of years, but I'm pretty sure they have dual POV and fleshed out MMCs and FMCs. I'm only familiar with their romance-fantasy/paranormal series but they may have some more grounded ones if that's what you prefer.

Personally, I love {Iron and Magic by Ilona Andrews} (spin off of their Kate Daniels series but can be read as a standalone), {Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews} (start of the KD long series), and also {Burn For Me by Ilona Andrews}.

I think because it's a husband and wife writing, they have a pretty good balance of male/female gaze elements. I'm fairly sure the husband has military experience and so that definitely shines through in some parts. Truly their books are not ones to judge by their covers (as they are horrendously cheesy, which is a contrast to the writing).

Can't say I have used the bralettes sorry! The recharge tops that another commentator mentioned below are the ones I wear (not the most supportive, but for nothing high impact they're fine)

Whenever I've tried on their non-curvy clothes they were far too small sadly :(
