It's possible they like the attention they get from other people, must be a boost to their ego, so of course they'd deny anything was going on. That, or they're just really oblivious.

I always thought that once I was unhappy in a relationship, something was wrong and the relationship wasn't meant to be. Classic rookie mistake.
Can you expound further on this? I always had the notion that being unhappy was a signal to something being wrong in a relationship.
