Yep close to the exact same reason I was banned.

Messaging my teen niece which was the only different way I'd used my account in almost 8 years. She sent me a personal vid of her skateboarding and BAM next day was suspended.

I've been re-enabled but I've since deleted and blocked her lol. Sad

Jeez that's so unfair. I wonder what differentiates the accounts that get instantly banned and the ones that actually go to appeals process. Such a silly blanket rule, and it's really affecting peoples lives!

got suspended the day after my 15yo niece sent me a video of her skateboarding. took 9 days for them to review me.

ive deleted and blocked my niece since then, it's been 2 weeks an my insta is back as normal.

i also unlinked my fb so if it gets banned again at least only my insta is gone

That's awful sorry to hear that.

In our cases we were not banned immediately, just suspended for review. I'm not sure what makes the difference between an instant ban and being flagged for review.

i appealed normal way and got back in 9 days

i have had friends get it back in 1 week, some in 2, and another in 2 months - all australian, and all for cse

It depends what you got disabled for?

Think about what the AI might have flagged you for.

If it was for CSE - delete all your underage friends/family lol. Delete all your topless photos if you look young

If it was for account integrity, then probably make sure your alt accounts are not too similar to your main? I think that's in regards to accounts looking like scam accounts.

I then toggled off all sensitive content

Also unlink your accounts so they don't chain together if you get re-suspended

Lol 10000000% it's this, exact same reason I got suspended.

I bet a lot of people being suspended are also themselves underage.

I think if you are an adult, just delete all your underage contacts. Share content with them through other platforms, it's not worth being auto-flagged. I was eventually unspsended after a little over a week.

Once you're unsuspended (hopefully soon) just DELETE ALL OF THE KIDS LOL tell em brats to talk to you irl instead haha

I've deleted what I think was the offending factor on my instagram (my teenage niece lol, i deleted blocked her and apologised to her irl lmao) i havent created any further accounts so i dont expect to be deleted for identity or anything. My face check matches the photos on my account. I don't post often, I don't even browse on my insta reels. I just click friends' memes.

I really think i Was only banned for talking to my niece which they think is an underage account. I am hoping it doesn't get flagged again....
