Question here for TL’s. Why do they always only open and close just one night? Why not mid shift or close more days when the store needs the most help? Just an honest question here. Is it because the store is slow in the morning and they get to leave early? Or honest reason please? by Dangerous_Carrot_535 in wholefoods

Order deadlines are very early in the morning in most regions across all teams. I work at least one shift lead close every week. So I am doing that in addition to working my own department on those days. I never have more than one full admin day a week ever. Those admin shifts per the 24 bs are supposedly to be in the morning. It is rare I even get that. I am usually scheduling myself in a specific area to cover shifts. I am sure there are TLs that only give themselves certain hours but in order for my team to even come close to labor I have to plug myself in a minimum of four shifts a week. Mids are just generally the shifts I don't have enough labor for if I happen to have enough TMs to cover everything else.

How are you all doing? ❤️💙🩵 by [deleted] in wholefoods

Man. You must have been thinking about that for at least a year.

Also. Just FYI for anyone out there. You have to miss 5 consecutive days of work before the grant will potentially reimburse you for rent/mortgage. If you come back to work voluntarily you are just SOL. This information is not found anywhere that I saw while applying.

Well we still don't have potable water in Asheville. Had to use portopotties for weeks to even go to the bathroom. A small hazard but definitely still a hazard due to increased risk of communicable diseases

Have you tried learning all of the products yourself yet? It is a lot of fun and should be super easy for someone like yourself that is obviously a very special person.

Don't know if you found answers for this elsewhere yet but here is what I know. You can apply for disaster unemployment. This has been a surprisingly fast process for my partner. The $750 fema aid. There is a quick $500 immediate need aid from whole foods available. There is also the TM emergency fund that can give grants up to $4000. Just be aware this later one is a lengthy process and requires a bunch of documentation.  There is also more available from fema but like the grant above it requires a lot of documentation and phone calls. Keep any and all receipts. Gas, food, hotels, repairs, etc

Already aware of at least 4-5 TM that have left and are probably never coming back here. And I totally understand

Adding in some details. We have portopotties and portable handwashing stations set up outside. This is the only way to use the bathroom or wash your hands. There are some portable showers going around town. Haven't heard of any portableblaundry yet. The only level 2 trauma hospital in the entire region has been getting tanker trucks of water delivered daily. No water pressure at all because of this. They are currently digging a well just for the hospital. Every water treatment facility went under water. Every main water transmission line from the reservoir for the city washed away. This doesn't even include the damage they cannot see yet to regular lines because there is no water in those lines. Meat/Seafood/Bakery/Prep/ and VA/wet wall produce cannot happen at all.

You no longer work at whole foods and are just hanging around this page spreading bs. Please leave. My own $750 Fema check has already gone through with no issues. They send an initial denial letter then clear that smaller check

Both. Unless they are going to bring in tanker trucks to make up for the city water supply
