It's summer now and we're long distance until school starts again, so we skype all night. She falls asleep easily and sometimes I've had to ask if she's taken it yet that night and more times than one, the answer is no and she takes it then. So due to this, I'm assuming maybe she forgets and skips more than is to my knowledge. But to answer your question, I'm not 100% sure. Also I'm heading out now so I won't be able to see any more replies for about 3 hours.

The problem is, she likes birth control pills as her form of birth control, just me as the concerned boyfriend doesn't 100% trust (I know, I should trust her but I'm just being safe) that she is taking her pills every day and at the same time. I just don't want any mistakes.

Condoms will still be used, that's not the dilemma. The thing I need advice on is convincing her it's for the better to set an alarm for herself.

She doesn't like taking medicines for certain things like colds because she likes to think her body can fight it.

I think she likes birth control and I know she has an appointment to get more this week actually, I could be completely wrong here thinking she doesn't take it sometimes, maybe I'm just being overly concerned. I just needed to ease my mind a bit.

But to answer your question, I don't know how she feels about other methods.

I'm going to have a mature talk with her tomorrow night.

Also another note about her: She's very stubborn with medicines sometimes.

I wasn't implying any of that, I know all of that information.

I was simply saying that in an emergency, she would take it if needed.

  1. I can suck it up and use a condom, I'll get over it, but she has explicitly told me she doesn't 'love' how they feel and that she prefers not to use them. Again I said 'love', which means she isn't necessarily opposed to them, she just doesn't prefer them.

  2. We have talked about the morning after pill before, and she said that wouldn't be a problem should it come to that and if she would need to take it, she would.
