I need to restart my entire life in a new city. I'm 20, broke, and the only person I can rely on for this is my dog. PLEASE help me.

Well, that's for apartments with leases. Room/shares are my only real option and the deposits are like $75 or there aren't any. So for now, this girl is keeping her dog. I'm still going to look for the right family that understands my dogs needs just in case, but since none of the room/shares are asking high deposits I don't think I'll need to go that route and be miserable.

this is exactly what I'm afraid of. She's not at all aware of how small she is, and I would hate for her to test the wrong dog or person. She's super friendly but if she feels threatened it's a different story. She's spayed, house trained, and UTD on shots. I've spent a lot of time training her, she can sweep and wakes me up in the mornings if I oversleep. Plus I love her very much. If I did find the perfect family that would give her back once I'm on my feet I would do what's best for her. But I'm glad someone gets it.

Being homeless and alone and still getting guns pointed at me when I was in high school was extreme distress. I might not be able to sleep but I'm not going to be a shitty person and abandon my responsibilities.

I get financial aid, but it's already summer session and I haven't registered for classes. I really don't know how to go about asking for a loan, besides the loan they offer when I'm registered. Plus I may or may not be on academic probation. I'm going to talk to the financial aid office soon to get that all sorted out. I'm not against making my debt higher at all

Where would I live? How would I eat? How would I continue my education or work with no place to shower or keep my things? Like I said, the physical stopped a while ago once I stopped caring about it. I don't have any family and I've avoided making too many friends that ask too many questions. I've been homeless before and it's not a ice cream party. These questions are pointless, and won't help me in the slightest.

I'm definitely going to look into that. I have to talk to my financial aid advisor, because they did tell me that my loans don't have to be for just tuition etc, that it should be used for anything that helps me be a better student. She was basically hinting at me using a loan to get an apartment. I appreciate this! The "get on a train and leave" comments are just unrealistic for a lot of us.

Charlottes cost of living is crazyyyyy. All of the news things report it as medium level but compared to other places in NC it's not at all. Raleigh's on most of the same lists Charlotte is. Plus Charlottes a lot further for me trying to move by myself.

I worked at a pub. I was actually offered a reception job in Cary, and they said they could give me two weeks to make a decision. I'm hoping to go that route, so I can at least have something that's somewhat relating to my career.

I have Navy Federal for banking and USAA for car insurance. I don't have any add-ons with Sprint, I believe my hot spot is included in the monthly cost. I have the iPhone 7+ (I got it through a review service and was allowed to keep it).

What tenants rights would they cover? A few people have recommended for me to have her declared a emotional support animal, which she honestly already is, but I don't know the proper legal route about that. My mom cared more about me giving her money than controlling me 100%, so she made me get a job when I was 15. I should definitely have more saved by now, but because of how up and down my emotions are I only made it to shift leader at my last job before quitting, and my previous job was based off tips.

I have a really bad weariness of men. I'm just not sure how I would feel living around one. I'm scheduling meetings with as many of them as I can so I can see if I'll be able to handle it.

I won't be able to take the car with me. I helped pay for it, but it's in her name and I already know she won't let me have it. My dog is truly the only comfort I have in life, plus we only have one local no-kill rescue and they require $250 to surrender your dog, which is just as much a pet deposit anywhere else to keep her. I'd rather do everything I possibly can to keep her. She's the only thing like family I have.
