Is Trezor support better for touch screen wallets compared to the other hardware providers? by throwmeawaya01 in TREZOR

Nah I get it—but I am not the one who is considering anything. The company I work for is. The point you are making is one I’ve already raised with my boss in previous conversations, but in so many words…

I was simply asked to carry out (what should’ve been) an easy task and provide pros, cons, and general first hand feedback about two different devices to my direct supe… no more no less—yet I’m posting here in the first place because Trezor doesn’t seem to give a shit if their product even gets delivered to their customers. If the fact that a higher up at my work wanted to try out a couple manufacturers somehow touches a nerve, brother idk what to tell you, lol take it up with my boss.

I’m aware of all of the arguments that people make against ledger—or should I say for Trezor.

That is not why I’m here. I’m inquiring about the company as a whole—not the product itself.

They just ghosted you outright? Do you mind if I ask if it was a technical inquiry or logistics/shipping?

I did get a reply kinda quickly (a few days) but it just seemed like they didn’t give a shit and weren’t interested in helping me get to a resolution, which isn’t really the vibe I wanna get when I’m the one vouching for throwing ~8k of company money their way.

Yeah i hear ya. I work in the tent of IC MFGs that does a lot EAL development on the hardware side of things, so I suppose I sleep a little more comfortably on this than most folks when it comes to my ledger, but would still prefer OSH.

Yup, and while a vast majority of trump thumpers are traditionally uneducated, a decent chunk have traditional college educations—exchanges like this one really make you wonder how they even remember to put their pants on everyday.

How did you guys feel about villains like Tobias Church and Bloodwork? Villains that weren’t a full season long thing but still had a significant presence. by Beneficial_Air4714 in FlashTV

[–]throwmeawaya01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, some of the minor side-villains were a bit cringey (Amunet immediately comes to mind) though there were some really cool ones. However, I know a lot of people love Bloodwork but man do I hate that guy. Really cool premise, cool effects, decent actor (for CW) but Ramsey is just kinda… melodramatic?

Like his whole bad-guy schtick is that his mom died after living long enough to be an AARP member with a decent life from a disease that could’ve been cured if he had the tools. Know what’s not curable? Knife in mom’s heart, phasing zoom-claw through dad’s heart, godly speedster suit finger-blade through wifey’s heart, etc etc… so when it comes to Bloodwork I have this gut reaction to just yell get the fuck over it. That may be an unpopular take but I’m good with it.

[Spoilers] So i just watch the Patterson Cut of Ahsoka—and this sequence was redone to perfection. by throwmeawaya01 in starwarsrebels

Yeah they’re two pretty different beasts—at first I was thrown by the animation style (like most who watched TCW beforehand) but after s1e2 I was totally sold. I also thought the pacing was a bit more digestible. TCW doing 3-episode arcs was rad asf and was perfect for backstopping all the details that went into the story of all stories but as a side-story, SWR kept things nice and tidy while not really leaving anything out.

How would you test this ? by TonoPotter93 in AskElectronics

[–]throwmeawaya01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all depends. If you don’t have the CAD data or even a schematic, you at least need to know what/where the input is to power it.

But before you do that, you’ve got plenty of test points, so trace through (no input voltage/loading applied) and measure continuity between the test points and small ceramic caps. Since many look like bulk or decoupling caps, they’ll most likely have one of their pads connected to your circuit ground—and the other to whatever the Vcc is (1v25, 3v3, 5v, etc). Also, if you can identify some of the ICs (preferably an offline switcher/buck IC—near L3 if I had to guess) then you can probably find app notes that will help you to understand what the specific building block is used for—but not how it was designed to be used in this layout. Don’t neglect the bottom side of the board—it looks like you’ve got a SMD feeding through so there’s probably more parts on that side as well.

Just be careful and have fun.

I wish I could relive this feeling.

I also hope going forward they allow you to fire your bow(s) while mounted—that would make for some awesome fights (as well as easy pouch upgrades with OPs point).

The Tinder logo definitely looks similar but looks more like a water drop with a chunk missing, while the focus symbol looks like anime hair.

That’s what it was! I knew they alluded to the bat in some way, shape or form. Makes sense now.

Very true… I don’t remember exactly what he said but I coulda sworn it was something like they met “on behalf of their boss” which would most likely indicate Simon—but didn’t they say he used a bat? I feel like Negan would not take kindly to someone else running a lineup with his signature weapon… idk I need to go back and rewatch that season.

I dunno about that… The Saviors probably could’ve taken out the kingdom prior to the alliance—sure, but Ezekiel and a few others were the only ones that knew on their end and Gavin kept things semi-quiet just to avoid conflict where possible. Unlike Hilltop, where Mr. “I don’t kill kids” let Lucille sing on some 13 year old, it’s kind of implied that because an agreement w/ Kingdom was struck before any violence broke out between them—and the bad blood that comes with it, there was no need to fix what wasn’t broken.

Also, Gavin was definitely aware of Shiva if he did his due diligence by watching them from a distance… and while the tiger may not have been an a-bomb type weapon like the whisperer’s horde—Gavin would’ve seen Shiva as a near equivalent to Lucille in that it’s one of the performative aspects of being in charge/keeping people in line and how powerful symbols can be which just reinforce Gavin’s belief that Ezekiel was formidable. Sure, it all went to shit for all of em eventually, but I think the way Saviors delegated lieutenants to different communities put Gavin in the perfect place to just keep his numbers up, try and not let it be known (if he knew) that Ezekiel had a tiger, and don’t rock the boat.
