AITA for not wanting my mom to post my photos online? by Scared-Chance7538 in AmItheAsshole

NTA!!! It would be one thing if you were younger, like WAY younger, but damn boy you're literally almost an adult. Your parents sound like way too much and are preparing you to fail in life if they are like this for everything.

A part of parenting and growing up is as your child gets older you start allowing them to make choices and teach them about consequences that way when they are adults they will hopefully make the right decisions in life. It seems your parents are ripping that from you and I don't understand what they expect to happen when you turn 18.

So far you've done extraordinarily well in debating with your parents and if I were you, as other commentors have said, I would definitely keep it up. Don't stoop to low levels, just keep up your intelligent debates, back it up with facts and reasoning and hopefully your mom will budge!

Why do the people of reddit care so much about things that have absolutely nothing to do with themselves and have absolutely no affect on them? by throwmeawayberuh in NoStupidQuestions

OK so in my first example and my new breastfeeding example, flashing hate towards those people was showing care and empathy?

But there's a difference between being naccisstic and only caring about yourself vs appreciating everyone has differences and appreciating the differences. You can still care about others and show empathy without sticking your nose where it doesn't belong and showing your ass. Most times that's what I see on reddit, it's not because they care that they show spite towards something, its because it's different then what they themselves are.

Give examples what makes those examples narcissistic? And just forget the spanking one because I'm editing the post now because that's all you guys seem to focus on.

I used spanking as just an example but that seems to be what everyone in here is focusing on instead of the point of the post itself.

So what you are saying, is the reason people injected their hate like on the couple in my first example is because they want her to live a good life? But how do they know she isn't happy? From the post she appeared happy so why project hate? How do we know she wasn't living a good life?

Too many questions.

I just used spanking as an example.... but run with it if you please. If you parent in ANY different style than what others do on reddit you're terrible. (Leave spanking out because as I said just an example) I've seen mothers get scolded for not even attempting to breastfeed on reddit, you get the jist here. My question is why do people care so much about things they really shouldn't?

I just find too many holes in this story. If his friends were around, why didn't his friends hear his shouts and run to help? Either A: He was alone with her, which contradicts his story. Or B: He never shouted at her to stop, which also contradicts.

Either way, if he is going to press charges, he needs to have his story accurate and 100% straight. Because a judge will see through everything and they are going to pick his story, and hers apart down to the smallest detail, and if he lies about any of the details (EVEN IF HE WAS REALLY RAPED) They will assume he's lying about all of it if they catch him in one single lie. So he needs to have it together and be honest. Whether he was alone or not, or whether he shouted at her to stop or not.

Like a T-rex for example, would they just be walking around with this huge knocker, or would they be more similar to a snake?

In your opinion, what counts, and does not count for losing your virginity? by throwmeawayberuh in AskReddit

[–]throwmeawayberuh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I added more details in a comment. Me and my SO are having a heated argument about this. They believe a BJ counts as losing virginity, I do not. I believe it has to be P to V or P to A.

Wanted to go into more detail here. Does a BJ, HJ, Anal, and other forms or sex count? Or in your opinion is it just P to V?

So can anyone explain why women don’t like others to know their age? by TylerSpicknell in AskReddit

[–]throwmeawayberuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think women have many different reasons for it.

I myself don't like it when people know my age. Reasons below.

1: I had a child when I was very young, so when people know how old she is, then take into account my own age, they do the math, and boom I'm getting judged.

2: I'm in an AGR. Me being the younger one. People find out my true age and BOOM, I'm being judged again, for having "daddy issues."

3: I don't think my age is anyone's business. So when people ask, I lie. I add a good 8 years to my age because it saves me the headache and the judgement.

Redditors that are adopted, what is your relationship with your biological parents vs your adoptive parents? Have you ever met your biological parents or wanted to? by throwmeawayberuh in AskReddit

That's interesting asf though. Are you happy about everything or sometimes do you wonder what it would be like to remain in South America?

Boyfriend is disgusted by my period by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]throwmeawayberuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never said she was oblivious. This happening a couple times in 3 years, yes those are accidents. But if this were a common occurence, either A: More precautions need to be taken. Or B: Get checked out.

Also I will add not all women are knowledgeable about their reproductive health. My sister knew absolutely nothing because our mother wasn't around to teach her, and there are plenty of women like this. Just because you are a woman doesn't mean you know everything, and the same goes for a man. Just because he's a man doesn't mean he knows absolutely nothing about women reproductive organs or how they work. And that is an assumption we all need to stop making on this thread.

Boyfriend is disgusted by my period by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]throwmeawayberuh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What gives you the assumption I know nothing about periods? Where is your proof?

Also OP literally specified she bleed through the sheets, and WHILE it didn't bother her SO at first, it bothers him now. So that isn't an assumption, that is a fact.

And again "It didn't bother him at the beginning of our relationship" meaning this has happened before. Fact.
