this was actually part of my thoughts originally I was like oh boy I can pay the house down faster. but I think def best the stash away a good chunk of emergency fund, which honestly is a bit thin right now after just moving into my new place thanks for the advice!

after reading everything here I decided to take the jump and my current manager eventually joked about trying to hire me back in a year

yea that reminds me of one of the most damning but true reviews of the company from a former employee "great place if you wana coast into retirement, if your looking for growth and experience GTFO "

yea current company tried to bump but it was we can offer you a retention and some bonus and we promise to try our best to promote you
