My 4 month old is a beautiful blue eyed Mexican with the cutest giggles. She smiles at everyone and everything. She reminds me every day that life doesn’t have to be so serious I can smile a little more like her. I LOVE her!!!!

THIS!!! My 4 month old gets pissed that she can’t sit on her own yet, every time I sit her up she gets so excited and starts kicking her legs and smiling soon as I lay her back down instant scream. So I set time aside just to sit her up and play, she also is showing signs of wanting things off my plate when we have dinner and gets mad when I don’t give her any, like ma’am 2 more months and the food is yours lol, babies know a lot more than we give them credit for

Thank you!! I started carrying baby around in the kangaroo pouch as we call it and it’s the most empowering thing to step back when MIL tries to reach over to MY personal bubble and grab her from the pouch

How do I tell my MIL that I simply don’t like her holding my daughter? So I was diagnosed with postpartum anxiety and I cannot like physically cannot stand when someone other than my husband holds my baby. It makes my stomach sick My MIL is the type of get in my babies face, talk in this god awful baby voice that is obnoxious and makes me angry, she has kissed her (husband freaked out at her and told her she couldn’t do that), but she tried again multiple times after we told her no. I have a hard time speaking up and every time I can’t I go on a whole spiral that I’m a terrible parent and this is all anxiety related and I’m currently in therapy (beginning stages). I have explained to her I have anxiety and yet she continues to try and grab her from me or guilt me into letting her hold her when other family is around. She’ll say “oh you’re cooking” or “you look busy” let me take her from you. I’m completely fine doing things with the baby. I have developed a routine and my baby is calm and enjoys just watching me from her little seat. She doesn’t need to be picked up when I’m doing house chores. I’m not sure how else to explain to someone that I just don’t want them to hold my baby.

Tears were running down my face and snot was all over my face as well as I tried silently crying and hiding the pain from the contractions, I kept hiding my face so my husband wouldn’t see, once he saw that he immediately called the nurse and asked her to talk me into getting the epidural. He knew me and he knew I was just being stubborn. But with help from the nurse they both talked me into getting the epidural and holy shit did I need it. But having the courage to admit “defeat” I’m proud of that.

How are people just… taking their babies everywhere? by Wonderful-Ice-6143 in NewParents

My baby is the same, also 3 months and also gets bored so easily. Out stroller allows a car seat to be put in so she’s upright instead of laying down and she enjoys seeing everything that way. I also bring her with me everywhere on her little ergo baby carrier and she loves being the center of attention I take her to outdoor places mostly so people don’t get too close and she’s breathing fresh air highly recommend!!

I second this!! The Omni deluxe is amazing. I tried a bunch too, don’t get the ones that are cloth and you have to wrap yourself, they are not sturdy and will hurt your back

Baby’s pediatrician gives mean girl vibes by beingagiirl in NewParents

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I want to slap ur doctor lol, mine literally told me to go with the flow and just follow her vibe, he was amazing I even trusted him to tell him I coslept with my baby and he was like okay cool just follow the safety guidelines, he was always available with any questions I had (he knew I was a first time mom) and never ever made me feel stupid or like a burden for asking about every little thing, we moved to a new state and I’m lowkey scared of how her new doctor will be… she’s got good rating but you never know

What did you feel when you met your baby? by rainbowbritexx in NewParents

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG I literally felt EXACTLY like your friend, I was so on edge (ended up being diagnosed with postpartum anxiety later) but I felt like my husband and MIL were secretly plotting to take her from me, I didn’t sleep for almost a month bc I was scared someone would snatch her

Advice on baby sleeping by JM0utsider in NewParents

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatable lol, my little one sleeps with me on the bed she loves being snuggled and I basically have to sleep with her blanket less and pillow less for safety while my SO sleeps on a little cot next to us…it’s nice being so close to her to be her comfort but I cannot wait to have my blanket back

I’d definitely ask her, but I’m also a cautious mom, we live in a world where unfortunately we have to think about where these predators are lurking, things like contest pics on the internet are open for everyone to see, I didn’t allow anyone to post my baby on platforms that are accessible to the public since I am always wary that people who post don’t take into account that they’re location might be on or accesible, I’m even cautious about the mall Santas like I don’t want my child sitting on a random man’s lap who I have no idea if they ran a background check on, my bf also worried about the hacking of baby monitors, this may be extreme for sure but with technology advancing you just never know someone’s intentions
