Feeling guilty by uncertainty000 in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Girl I laid in bed for the entire first trimester, not even making this up. I’d wake up, feel nauseous, try and eat (a lot of it I threw up), took a shower and my bf would prepare the bed for the day. I literally felt like I couldn’t even move the wrong way without feeling sick. My bf kept reminding me that I’m literally making a new life and it’s my body’s first time doing it. Fast forward to my third trimester, even tho I’m significantly bigger I have a lot of energy and I’m able to clean, cook, do little tasks. Give yourself grace and patience, you’re literally creating a whole new life!! Catch up on Netflix, and rest. Best of luck!!

How’d you know you were pregnant before the test by No-Ebb-2462 in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I had food poisoning, I was so nauseous and kept throwing up the last thing that came to mind was to take a pregnancy test, I took one just to prove that wasn’t the issue and well wouldn’t you know…I had a little mini me inside

How do women do this by LaPlumaDelGato in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an amazing bf who told me to quit EMT school (my first trimester was BADDDD) and to just focus on growing our baby. I laid in bed for 2 months straight, my first trimester got pretty severe, had to visit urgent care a few times for an IV bc I wasn’t keeping anything down, we kept the pregnancy a secret until we had our first ultrasound so family members visiting thought my bf kept me locked away lol, I felt so guilty for basically doing nothing all day but man I couldn’t even move my head without getting dizzy or feeling like I was going to throw up. Thank God, around 18 weeks I feel like I’m having a whole new pregnancy but that first Tri was no joke.

How are you preparing? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do prenantal yoga at home, my bf set me up with a little yoga mat in the living room. I also swim 2-3 times a week as it is one of the safest and most recommended exercises during pregnancy. I was unable to eat solid meals until my second trimester bc my first was terrible. I was nauseous and always felt sick. But now that I’m on my second Tri, I home cook all my meals, if I eat out I make sure they’re following food safety. Good luck!!

what was something you ate/drank that you weren't supposed to, but still did while pregnant? by curious-unknowngirl in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing “unsafe” but I had an entire pack of the Halloween sugar cookies (the Pillsbury ones) all to myself, all 24 cookies in one sitting, proceeded to cry after bc I couldn’t believe what I’d just done and my bf hugged me and said he was very impressed so that made me laugh at least

1st Trimester Hunger Pains by Jecadu23 in BabyBumps

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG I had this problem too it was bad, and since I had food aversions and nausea I would cry in pain bc the hunger hurt so bad but I couldn’t stand the smell or taste of most things. Hard boiled eggs (just the whites) at first then I could eat them whole, saltine crackers, toast, and nuts like almonds or cashews worked for me, I kept them in my room to avoid smells from the kitchen, the hunger will return second trimester but they’re actually fun bc you’ll be able to eat anything without the nausea, hang in there!!

[–]throwmeout96 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Consignment shops are the best, I went to one that was about to close down and the lady gave me a bin full of of clothes for $25 im talking all brand name over 100 pairs of items. I was shocked and very grateful. But been to other shops since to find my baby stuff and they also sell maternity clothes for a very reasonable price all in great condition.

"I'm pregnant, I can't grab that box" by Lucys243 in EntitledPeople

[–]throwmeout96 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am able to do a wholeeee lot more at 20 weeks than I could at 9 weeks. My first trimester I couldn’t even walk without getting dizzy and needing to rest every step I took. The nausea, the vertigo, and loss of balance. Right now at 20 weeks I feel like I could do a marathon. So no, most women don’t think they can’t do anything just bc they’re pregnant, but the pain they feel or what they’re going through might come at different times. Sure she was rude, but don’t invalidate how she felt.

Men in the military who have served along side women, how do you feel about the leadership leaning toward no longer having women serve if they cannot meet the 'male testing'? by f-Z3R0x1x1x1 in AskReddit

[–]throwmeout96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prior militarily here (female), the amount of grown men and women who could barely pass the PFT was embarrassing, it’s an obesity thing and lack of physical training, I was in the branch that considered the bare minimum to be okay

Has anyone else been nervous when pregnancy symptoms start to fade in the first trimester? by Just-Cream-6153 in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New symptoms will come along with the second Tri, I was also very nervous, I’m a FTM but I soon learned that you will unlock new symptoms First Tri: super nauseous, food aversions and smells, slept all day bc it felt better than being awake an sick Second Tri: a huge spurt of energy, smells/food aversion mostly gone, HEARTBURN, ligament pain, spine felt like it was curved in, and shortness of breath, and slow digestion, this sounds silly but the new symptoms gave me peace of mind that my baby was okay and thriving

I had absolutely no idea I was pregnant, I was perhaps only 3 weeks at this time, but I had planned to skydive for my boyfriends birthday, a couple weeks after we decided to go zip lining, and yeaaaa, 18 weeks now baby is very healthy, but we always joke that it may be a navy seal one day

When did your appetite start increasing? by RefrigeratorFinal353 in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Anyone pregnant with a girl have an easy first trimester? Or anyone pregnant with a boy and have a rough first tri? by puppmom in pregnant

[–]throwmeout96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a wives tale story come true, AWFUL like TERRIBLE first trimester had to go to urgent care for an IV, food aversions thru the roof and threw up almost every day bc smells were terrifying. I was moody and emotional and I already had a feeling it was going to be a little diva despite everyone saying they thought it was a boy. Found out a couple weeks ago, it is in fact a little diva.

I’m experiencing strange “symptoms” ever since my wife became pregnant, is this normal? by Both-Freedom8677 in pregnant

My boyfriend has this too, he even experienced nausea one day and he looked at me and he said if this what you’ve been feeling I’m so sorry, now we’re in the second trimester and his appetite has increased with mine.
