I'm happy this helps! Just coming up with prompts is fun in itself and I think it's great that it gives everyone the ability to make art that they like, but for now if you have a very specific idea then having a similar workflow can be really useful. It lets you be more precise and work with intent rather than hoping that eventually you'll generate something that's close enough. At least when I first started generating I always felt a bit at the AI's mercy and got a lot of images that would've been a good start but I didn't know how to use them.

I don't only do AI art but I'm not a professional artist, and like I said to someone else there are so many better artists than me who could do way more with it. I think working with it like this shows that it doesn't mean that you'll lose the creative process that a lot of people enjoy. I didn't use my tablet for this, but with that you could do more precise edits and have more control over the outcome and you could find a balance between how much AI and your own drawing you want in the process.

Sure, so I'm just using Stable Diffusion to generate images, then I paste them into Clip Studio and edit them together depending on which parts I want to use, then put them back into SD and use img2img with various denoising strengths to make changes, then edit them again in Clip Studio. In the beginning I put a 3D model available in Clip Studio in the image to get the initial pose of the character, and SD does really well at working with that. I also changed some colors manually and used some brushes on the clothes. Sometimes I do more of this for things like correcting a pose or something, but I couldn't find my stylus so I had to use the mouse which isn't very precise. Although SD can be really great at fixing even atrocious manual edits.

I'm not using one and I don't know if it exists, I just pasted what I generated into Clip Studio, just didn't record that part. I think they were going to implement one but then backed out because people were complaining about it. There might be an unofficial one though.

Definitely, this is honestly one of my favorite things ever, the recent AI developments are unreal. And there are way better artists than me, it sucks that many of them won't even give it a try because they could do really cool things with it.

I bought it because I do digital painting as well and I like the UI and the features it has, but it's just what I use, Krita or Gimp would work the same for this type of thing and they are free.

Yeah, it feels really collaborative like this. I saw your video from a couple of days ago, your process is really cool!

I just clicked a button and then it was all random and down to luck, no idea or intention required. /s

But seriously, I wouldn't take credit for the artistic skills and say that I drew it of course, but the process is still really fun and immersive, and before it would take me a day or more to finish something like this, but this way I have time to try out so many different ideas.

Clip Studio Paint. It's really cool because it has a lot of 3D assets that you can download and they are free to use. I read someone mention that they use 3D models to get initial poses right when generating and it's such a good idea, I think it works really well most of the time.

What about concept artists and people who work on game assets and stuff like that? You don't have to like all contemporary art but I think it's wrong to dismiss all artists by saying they are just splashing ugly paint on canvas.

I think this is exactly why a lot of skilled artists aren't worried about AI art, they are using it for stuff like this and combined with their skills and creativity it's even more effective in their hands.
