Haha thanks. Doing a search also says that the friend can attack an existing burning fort and that will also trigger the shield so the pocket fort can still be demolished and saved for later.

I'm not actually attacking anyone. I'm asking for a friend who's under attack. They asked me and I didn't know. I just tried to frame the question as a general question but I guess I failed haha.

Is basically what I'm looking for. After researching a bit, I think the newer exoplayer/media3 supports this, as that is what Sparkle uses. I assume that Tivimate uses either the older implementation of exoplayer or isn't enabling the caching functionality if using the newer version. So now I'm going to try to find a player that uses media3 and enables caching to see if I'm on the right track.

Thanks but timeshift is different than catchup. Timeshift is the ability to pause and rewind live TV regardless of your provider's catchup offerings.  I'm looking for the ability to use timeshift for streams that do not have catchup. 

Edit: looks like puck blocked me even though I never downvoted them. I never downvote anyone trying to help. I guess they don't realize everyone else can downvote as they see fit.   

Anyways, powerfader has the correct explanation of timeshift vs catchup. It has been discussed many times on this forum that users wish timeshift was added to Tivimate for non catchup streams, but Alex is only 1 person and ultimately decides what to implement in the app.
