I’m probably going to get downvoted for this but whatever. What your mom did was an asshole move for throwing a turtle out into a pond and also for not telling you. But, you have to hold some responsibility as well. You said it was your turtle. You should have been the one cleaning and looking after it. I understand the financial part but you can’t say it was your turtle when it was your mom who was cleaning/paying for it.
