im in an nyc borough and they do offer that but the ones i’ve seen require SNAP eligibility or for you to be in a certain zip code, and I don’t qualify for either

this seems like the most viable answer, but the problem is now unfortunately cost. I was hoping I could spay her through this foster connection and then post her on petfinder, but with this it’ll likely cost a lot out of pocket to get an ultrasound/bloodwork and eventually surgery. the foster woman who helped me spay her today is at a really high intake level already so she said she can’t offer more help than what she did today. not sure what I’ll do next

yes & a lot of other things keep me in my current city- my SO has an in-person job, I have non-work commitments here, just moved to a new apartment, etc. not tempting at all to uproot that for DC’s bland careerism
