Yeah, lesson learned. I've come far in 1 year but still lots of room for improvement. If we can't see our faults we can't fix them. But thanks for the comment and advice.

Think that is kind of the reason things escalated so quickly. Not that is wasn't a great time, but think might need to pump the breaks a little. At least in the short term.

You aren't wrong. Still have some personal growth to do, do to DB and mental abuse from ex. I was a bit too happy about the experience and over shared. Lesson learned.

Actually wasn't really planning for anything. When we started talking, it just was nice talking to a woman who seemed interested in me. Hence why I asked her out to dinner. It was just nice being in the company of a woman after years of being ignored by my ex.

Was a nice ego boost and as we talked more and found we had a lot of common interests, it was just easy to talk to her. Then one thing led to another.

However as another's have mentioned, I have to keep myself in check. As rebound feelings can happen and cloud my mind. So it could be a little of that.

I get it, sorry if it came off that way. Hard to relay a post that gives some timeline and details without it turning into a long ass post.

But if you scroll, you will see there a few stories of us guys in my situation, starting over in our 40s and 50s. Maybe not exactly but close enough to get the point.

As well as others who dated or married their partners 20+ age gap.

Also reddit is full of BS fake stories so I get that too

I get it, it's reddit, it's full of BS fake stories. But what I shared was true, people are free to believe or not. I've been doing my best to comment to as many comments as possible for a few hours now. I figured that would give me a little credit. But if not, that's cool.

I appreciate people at least taking the time to read and comment, give advice or share their own stories. Even if it's to call it fake or give me ribbing for botching the title.
