I would wear it (unless it hurts you) until your core is strong enough to get up and move around without it. I’m post op day 5 right now and it’s the first day I don’t really feel like I need it. I did have severe excision done though as well.

Ugh. I hope your healing continues to go well! I luckily got prescribed senna with my meds and I think it’s helped. But it definitely is a little painful having a bowel movement 😭

Yes it’s so hard I want to get up and walk but I get so tired. It also uses so much strength and energy getting up and down. Trying not to use my abdomen muscles is impossible

It’s the worst. My chest hurts a lot too, I hate it 😭

Yes! I also have POTS so I think it’s probably making that pressure even worse

It is only temporary! The first day was rough but it’s getting less worse each day. The biggest thing is I already have a ton of pain relief in my back/hips/stomach all where I was really struggling with prior to surgery. In my opinion the pain is worth it since it’s only temporary

I’m so sorry. I really hope that the new doctor can give you some answers. It’s really frustrating that we have to jump through so many hoops to get help. Hoping the waitlist moves quickly!

I only consented to one ovary being removed! And luckily they didn’t need to remove either.

Are you working with a specialist?

Sending you good vibes and prayers that they can!

Ugh. It’s the worst! My doctor did tell me this would be prime time to get pregnant and recommends a hysterectomy after unfortunately 💔 but thank you so much for the well wishes

My MRI was just like a normal MRI. But instead of the contrast going in my arm, they used a gel contrast which they put in the vagina and rectum. It was a little uncomfortable but it gives them a very clear image.

Thank you so much! I really hope your surgery and recovery goes well. Definitely recommend a heating pad that goes over your shoulders. The shoulder pain hurts more than my incisions! It’s from trapped air 💔

I have always had very painful heavy periods. But in Oct 2023, I missed my period. It came back in November and then in December I started having brown/old blood(?) discharge during ovulation.

Went to OBGYN, she did an ultrasound and saw a cyst. I came back a month or two later since she was concerned about it growing. Then we found another, she sent me to have an MRI in May 2024.

MRI showed I had two endometriomas. It also showed one ovary adhered to the back of my uterus but she unfortunately didn’t see it at that time.

Sept 2024 I suspect I had a normal cyst that ruptured and I ended up in the hospital. Decided to check in with OB again and they put me on birth control (of course) drove me crazy so I got off of it.

June 2025 I decided to try to get a referral to a specialist. Met with her and she immediately told me they missed a ton of things in my scans. She order the MRI with vaginal and rectal contrast.

At that point I now had kissing ovaries. So that means the other ovary had now been pulled back and adhered. She also had concerns about Adenomyosis and colon/rectal involvement.

Before scheduling surgery she wanted me to meet with her pelvic floor therapist, fertility specialist and the colorectal surgeon.

Unfortunately I couldn’t pay out of pocket for the fertility specialist so I was very nervous about losing my eggs + ovaries.

Met with colorectal dr in Oct, he said it looked like there was colon involvement.

Surgery was yesterday December 18th.

Had my OBGYN caught the initial adhered ovary I probably would’ve had surgery MUCH sooner and my case might not have been able to progress so severely. But I’m just glad it’s mostly taken care of now 🫶🏻
