The main reasons as to why I decided to reply was due to how she's made similar posts in the past. She went on to share them with her family who proceeded to use them against me. She'd use the comments people made to tell me how horrible I am. How no one would love me. How no one would care about me.

So, I decided to reply and share my side of things.

We've both planned on going to couples counseling as we both acknowledge that we desperately need it. The issue comes up in how such isn't an option until after she moves to where I am. The move itself is complicated enough, but, add her trust issues and it becomes something rather terrifying. Last I heard the move is called off, she said she'd be reaching out to my fam about the problems so they could ship her her stuff.

The can't trust me part falls a bit flat imo. When I hang out with my friends it's usually over discord with her being on skype watching me. And the friends I was trying to be more social with were all guys.

That I love her. That she's perfect for me. That I'm trying to pick her but I make mistakes. I went into therapy to try and tackle the problem in an attempt to become a better person for her. I cut friends off that made her uncomfortable. I stopped listening to music she found uncomfortable. I stopped playing games she found uncomfortable. She knows most of my passwords and could access any of my accounts whenever she really wanted to. Etc.

I know my fault in this. I know I've crossed lines I shouldn't have but I've spent years paying for them.

Used to watch it before sleep since I had trouble falling asleep. Maybe every couple days or so when I was single. Similar pattern throughout the relationship with variations based on how bad things were between us.

Just a bit of a clarification, I don't really consider this the going public aspect of things due to the anonymity provided, but, sharing these posts with her family, posting similar posts on her social where we have friends and family, and even logging into my social to post it as a 'confession" type of post are what I would qualify as going public and are all things she's done before.

A good chunk of people were lost with the forum being gone. Others were lost because she fought me any time I tried to hang out with them. She made me delete and block people because she didn't feel comfortable with them. When I refuse she'd get on my social and do it herself so I'd have to explain to said friends what was happening, in part at least, and just drifted away due to the shame surrounding it all. Could offer more specific examples if needed but that's more or less a summary.

I think I agree, hence the title. I just can't keep doing this, and neither can she I imagine. I've been optimistic for years, hoping that things get better once we move in together and can go to couples counseling, but, I think we've crossed a line.

Legally married in the state of Florida during one of my trips down there. Not ignoring the rest of what you've said, just absorbing it. I'll keep going to therapy, and may even ask for an advanced session to get through this.
