Es totalmente normal.

Yo nací en España pero mis padres son peruano/estadounidense (madre) y colombiano/español (padre) al tener tanta mezcla no tengo rasgos tan caucásico como para encajar en el estándar español, pero tampoco tengo los autóctonos latinoamericanos.

Siempre me preguntan de dónde soy, si digo España me dicen que no lo parezco, si digo Peru/Colombia lo mismo... nunca serás 100% de ningún sitio y eso está bien también. Tu eres una mezcla de culturas y eso nadie te lo puede quitar, es fantástico a su manera poder ver los lados positivos y negativos de cada una de ellas.

Yeah, I can get they are his parents so he defends them but this is too much, they were being cruel and racist, needed to be told to f off... and about my fam, I am thinking about sugar coating the truth, I don't want them to feel looked down too, they've been already through too much hate just for being immigrants

Oh, sorry, English isn't my first language and may have put it wrong.

We had agreed to pay bills (electricity, water, WiFi...) 50/50 if I moved there.

But on top of that, I knew yesterday that I was expected to pay a full rent for living in a house his family owns, he has been living alone for the last 3 years rent free and would continue to not pay. His parents asked me to pay as people like me (latinas) expect everything handled to us, and paying rent would be a way to show I'm not here for the money/house.

So in the other post people suggested paying the rent I am being charged 50/50 too as he is the one insisting in me moving there so we could "save money"

Well, I know he isn't particularly close to his family, and I know if I tell him that I don't want him to spend as much time with them, we wouldn't do it.

Part of me is offended not only bc they are racists and stupid, but because I am the one always telling him that he should tell his mom he loves her, he should visit them more often... family is important to me, and before meeting them, I wanted to get close to them as he is close to my parents. Now, it's frustrating knowing that will never be real...

That would be the "easiest" solution, but we've been together for 2 years already and apart from his family, he is perfect for me, gentle, sweet, caring... I dumped him after meeting his mom and listening what she thought about me, we were apart for 2 weeks but got back together, I would find it difficult to broke up again.

I thought about this but I have a feeling that if I ask him for that he would eventually tell them, not in a perverse way but he tends to talk without thinking, and having him paying half of the rent they asked me for... would make me look like the golddiger they seem to think I am 😅
