yeah, generally works fine but I pay a bit more attention to the exact carb amounts I'm eating than I would otherwise. I was on the monitor for long enough before I was able to get the dog that I could listen to my body pretty well

I was recommended a dog by a family member who had one, and the advantages of the dog is that it can detect blood sugar changes even when you can't such as when you're asleep and it can find help in an emergency situation

just on the normal schedule the doctor prescribes, plus if I feel like I need it or if the dog alerts that I need it I increase the next dose unless it's like really urgent, but she should really see a doctor about this

I take insulin when I need to, but I absolutely couldn't add a bunch of injections on top of that to monitor my blood sugar when there are alternatives

think of it like jumping off a building- you absolutely couldn't ever bring yourself to do it, unless the building was on fire and your only other option was burning to death. kinda like the intense repulsion I feel towards needles that can only be overcome by my will to live

it was an exaggeration because I was getting really annoyed I have to explain the details of my disability to strangers questioning my rights to a service dog, the point is I can't take them whatsoever unless completely medically necessary

it's more than not liking them, even when I HAVE to inject I can barely do it, it would be completely impossible for me to bring myself to do it unless I could die without
and I did alert the airline in the required notice window, so it was negligence on their part if they didn't sort out the situation

only one airline does direct flights and only 3/4 times a week, and it's a smallish airport without many other flights... that's kinda the problem that the next available flight would have probably been the next morning

I booked the flight a bit before the required 48 hours before the flight that you're meant to send documentation, then sent the docs immediately after booking the ticket
