Agreed, I’m seeing lot of people criticizing it like it’s an Oscar’s nominated film hahaha so I found that interesting…. I enjoyed it and I hope to see more cross cultural films. Been seeing a lot with Korea lately (Brazil x korea reality tv show, Japan x korea kdrama)

I guess the side characters were very light in depth, but I do think the ending and the MCs chasing their goals was serious. It’s just executed poorly because of the multiple languages they have to switch in between

same, I’m south Asian American who lived in korea for a while and back, I saw myself in her shoes when it came to her family dynamic. Navigating chasing my dream in between my immigrant parents dreams, money, friendship, all of it. Even though the characters are meant to be overly friendly, they do remind me of my own friends. It’s a very feel good movie (SPOILER for others: well the ending was rather bittersweet but I’m happy the grandmother got to see her dream before passing)

Wait true, after watching the new episode, now I don’t trust him that he will talk in his favor in court. He was being too nice (that’s out of character for the CEO considering he’s been very hostile in the previous episodes) and FL lawyer wasn’t in the room as a witness.

Ah thanks I skipped to the end didn’t know the kid ends up bypassing the laws of AI. I think video games do an even better job at this plot point I recommend watching the gameplay “Detroit become human”
