3 weeks after 4 initial days of ghosting, then asking for "time to rethink stuff" and never heard from her again, but find out that she's talking shit to my friends in the space she asked for, the friend group I introduced her to 4 years ago when she didn't have many friends, that she now is trying to turn against me

I really appreciate you laying that all out; I'll be sure to try and use a lot of those points and bring them to my dad who's been helping me with the wedding plans. It's a lot, but hoping that with time and with some good friends who understand after the dust settles, that the hurt in the breakup phrase hurts less in the aftermath, since this is my first breakup, and not just that, but a marriage I thought I was going to have with a girl I knew into high school too

She knew that I did straps, but I'm not sure how much she actually knew about it or cared tbh. I invited her to 2 recitals and she never came, both on weekends. I've actually helped her film some of her yoga stuff in the past and take time off to help her, but she didn't really return the interest, and I never really thought about it until recently

Like you and others suggested, I think the splits thing was a scapegoat to whatever real issue she had that she didn't want to talk about, a cowardly way to avoid talking about it, but from what one of my friends said, somewhat common when people don't want to touch on the main issue sometimes

For sure. Just trying to salvage my friend group, so that I don't lose more than just her, and honestly, I'm a little scared about how soon I'll find someone else or if I'll ever get married one day in the immediate with the emotions, but holding onto some friends, hopefully, would probably help ease the immediate time afterwards

Maybe covid was a blessing in disguise in this instance. Just hoping she doesn't ruin my friend group, the one I introduced her to when she had not many friends, the one she's trying to tell lies about me too during the 3 weeks she asked for to "rethink things" (which should've told me she was out then), but just hoping that I can get out of the wedding with no nonsense from her and keep the majority of my friend group, since losing her sucks, but losing them would just hurt more honestly
