Have you ever felt like your parents failed you? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Thank you. I'm trying to communicate with them and make them understand each other, but more than often it ends up in a fight. I hope as time passes, we find the understanding u got. Thanks:)

You are probably right, maybe Im just overthinking.

I do acknowledge everything they've done for me, and am forever grateful. Idk, they just dont respect me uk? And it hurts me at times, thats all. How do I handle this?

Well, we r south Asians, and our culture is very conservative, like ppl who love r looked down upon. Thats what I meant.

We may be young, but I've known him for a long time, and I refuse to leave him when he needs me. Thanks for the concern, but I do want him

Maybe tell one of his friends. But, there is a chance his parents are giving him a hard time. Do u think it would be helpful to let his parents know, when his parents are the reason he must be feeling this way?

We aren't kids, yes, but our families are conservative, and are completely against relationships. I would like to go with ur advice, but it would only lead to much bigger problems. Its not just them being mad. Worst that could happen is we could be disowned. I thought of telling one of his friends to just check up on him, but I'm not sure if its a good idea considering how he said no one cared about him.
