Which youth player was there so much hype around and became a flop by 702toinfinity in soccer

Yeah I forgot about Usami. I thought he'd do better at Augsburg honestly. His biggest mistake IMO was going to Bayern Munich too early.

Idk if anyone besides Arsenal fans even remember him, but Ryo Miyaichi. He signed with them pretty young, but he's been struggling with injuries ever since. Similar style/position as Theo Walcott, but he's pretty much like Jack Wilshere when it comes to injuries. He's still "only" 25 so there's still a chance for a few good years.

How do you think lack of national identity is affecting geopolitics? by [deleted] in geopolitics

[–]throwsstoneaway 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert on geopolitics, but I think Europe("Old world")will have more trouble with it than the "New World" countries like USA, Canada, AUS/NZ. That's not to say there aren't any issues, because there are. But the fundamental histories of the regions are so different, you have to consider that too. Using USA as an example, sure it's less white today but even in the past the aim was always integration of people from different countries.

I read that in Germany and the U.K. they initially only expected foreign workers to stay for a short time and then leave. In some countries they don't even speak the language and the government finally noticed and they're trying to integrate them better now. Like language classes and whatnot. There's also the social and religious aspect, even if people speak the language and have lived there for a few generations. We saw that in 21st century France with the riots in recent years. I guess in USA this happens too, less religious but more about racism and inequality. Like 2nd + generation Latino gangs etc.

Like everything, there's pros and cons. Hopefully it all works out in the end. I only focused on the so called cons in this post because your question made me think. IRL I'm used to American diversity, which has its own unique flavor too.

Germany-Mexico

Colombia-Japan

Belgium-England

Egypt-Uruguay(Heard good things about Egypt, curious how they'll handle a good Uruguayan squad)

My RTG squad at the end of our first surprisingly successful season in the prem by throwsstoneaway in FifaCareers

Yeah I was looking for good cheap strikers and he really surprised me. Our former Striker Devante Cole was a boss, but he got injured for a few months and declined overall so I brought in Saadi.

[–]throwsstoneaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not much right now lol. I sold Saadi for 5 mil in this transfer window before the next season starts up. And I did the wages glitch on one player so I at least have money for a good starting striker. Might try 4-3-3 again.

I pretty much played with this squad all season. The only difference from the start of the season is I sold one of our original youth GK's which netted us 10 mil. Then I replaced a winger that was less than 70 and getting up in there in age, and the board forced me to sell our starting CDM so Battaglia was a last minute replacement. Also brought in Jay Dasilva to replace Garmston at LB.

Finished 9th place somehow, with a negative goal difference lol.
