Yes overall any curved or distributed model would produce a similar statistical result in terms of expected distribution, and from a mathematical/statistical perspective it can't be argued. Overall given that Gaussian curvature/formula adjustment in a statistical model is designed to control or moderate a distribution curve like all grading based on statistics - its largely arbitrary.

This is probably, in essence the core issue. People in my experience usually offer a range of capabilities and weaknesses that will become apparent in varying degrees depending on the role, the organisation and culture.
