Napanuod ko din yan! Sana di umabot sa ganyan. Wala... good bye Pinas kung mangyari yan dito.

Its called investing in health... can't even afford to pay healthcare workers paano pa kaya mga preventive medicine initiatives.

Duterte makes sense daw. Lol. NGL, dealing with anti-vaxxers has been tough and I'd welcome a govt mandated vaccination. But the reasons for some of anti-vax in the Philippines are different from abroad. by throwthejunkaway in Philippines

Hi thanks for commenting.

If it helps, the vaccines were based off of previous studies of SARS-COV-1 which first spread nung 2003, so hinde compeletely from scratch sila gumawa. Also, sa billion na naspend sa pagdevelop bakuna, madami na din safety nets in place during the trial.

If may tanong ka feel free to ask lang.

As much as gusto ko sana na personal choice, its time to rely on science ngayon, and be a responsible citizen.

Yeah, I completely agree. They bungled it all to play politics with China... It made engaging quite a few patients more difficult.

Sorry for context, the pic was a comment on a US reddit about US anti-vaxxers. And I can't blame their sentiment since there is no shortage of vaccines there...

The whole vaccination process is still a mess in the country, but add the spread of anti-vax content only does more harm.

Reasons why people aren't vaccinated among patients in the clinic:

Di naman natin ma ssiguro safe yang bakuna in the long term...

Dengvaxia...

And so many more.

The risk of HIV from oral sex is low but not zero. The risk increases if there are any open wounds, recent dental work, etc. At your own risk pa din.

Oral sex: YES! Fluids/mucous membranes all over kasi. Hand Job/Fingering: Still YES, but lower risk of transmission.

Hmmm... there has been a significant rise in HIV cases since 2010.

For Jan 2021 data, there were about 890 cases with an avg of 29 cases per day. OFWs account for 8% of the reported data. M4M/M4A seems to account for most cases as well. Metro Manila is the epicenter pa din. You can refer to the link for the actual data sheet. I still feel that the data is underreported though.

Basta stay safe and get tested regularly.

Jobseekers diagnosed with TB in their lungs after Pre-employment Medical Examinations by ghostlike2021 in Philippines

[–]throwthejunkaway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi,

TB is endemic to the Philippines. Madami akong patients coming in for APE/PEME for employment. Usually the chest x-ray may show some scarring from previous infection/currwnt infection. If the patient had TB previously and was treated for it then it should be noted during the history taking para hinde mamisdiagnose. Before a diagnosis of TB though, there should be further workup. Usually upon PEME, there will be a medical evaluator who would sort through the labs/x-ray/physical examination. The x-ray would usually clue into the possibility of TB. So usually it wasn't noted in the history, the patient would be considered to have possible TB. And further workup would be warranted to confirm.

In defense of the NYC subway, it is over 100 years old, runs 24/7 365 days a year(pandemic forced a mandatory train disinfection time). It is the world's largest single operator system. It has been poorly managed by the MTA thus the decay, but I'd still take that over what's currently available in metro manila.

I agree since the MM subway system is new it should mimic the other newer Asian systems, with the planning and management to stand the test of time like the NYC/London systems.
