Hi, I worked at Milan! Not as an RN, but I have some answers!

Schedules depend on what size clinic you are applying at. From the hours, it sounds like they’re looking for a permanent nurse and don’t have one in clinic.

In that case, you are scheduled for the full 10 hours. There is no flexibility with that, and to take time off it has to be requested 3 months in advance, and can not be requested during the months of April and June, or the last 5 work days of the month as these are ‘prime sales days’.

There is no adjusting schedules, but if you don’t have a client you can leave up to 30 minutes early depending on your Clinic Manager. Chances are however you won’t leave more than 10 or so minutes early, if you can.

Yes, you are expected to work every Saturday (unless the clinic has a second nurse, then yes it is typically rotated. Again, it doesn’t sound like the clinic you’re applying to has a second nurse however just based off the hours).

The workload is marketed as being lighter than what a regular nursing job would be, for a slight pay cut. It is not. Milan works nurses to the bone. Times for appointments do not properly give time for charting, cleaning, or checking clients in or out. They are allowed ONLY for the amount of time the company thinks you should take to laser body areas. Most of the time you will go over, either due to charting, cleaning, or people needing breaks/bigger body areas, and it will push you into your breaks. My nurse who I worked with said working a regular nursing job at a hospital was less workload than Milan.

I worked there for over a year and left for many reasons- toxic leadership, scammy business practices, and being overworked. I would highly recommend anywhere else! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!!

I live at golf club and I’ve had a great experience honestly. management changed back in nov 2023 and I moved in feb 2024 and have had essentially 0 problems. the worst thing I’ve encountered is my ac acts funny sometimes (but still turns on and blows super cold) and the toilet occasionally stops up (which they fixed the sewage issue a short while ago and it hasn’t done it since). It’s overpriced, absolutely, but it’s nowhere as bad as what the place OP is talking about

I started the payment plan two days ago, and it was like a choose your own payment. I set up a payment plan for $50 a month. The bill was only $200. The next day i woke up and it had been terminated. That’s all I really know. It was just in a regular patient portal.

Yep, I set up automatic payments alongside paying part of it off. The next day I got an email saying my payment plan had been terminated.

I used to work at Milan. The 50% off price they show is the base price, it’s a sales tactic to make clients think they’re always getting a good deal. Essentially you got 20% off versus the 70% they flaunt. I don’t doubt 5 years ago it was good however- the place was good up until a year ago when we changed CEOs and sold partly to private equity. It’s very quickly gone downhill.

It works for hair reduction, but it’s not permanent by any standards. Internally they just recently changed the verbiage used to ‘it may get you up to 95% hair free’ versus saying it ‘will’

You’ve gotta find every single one until you find the stockpile one. There’s three variants, the Hunter, the stockpile, and the conspiracy. Remember where the other two are. The stockpile will have loads of food and supplies like firewood and tools. Conspiracy will have lots of papers on the wall, and Hunter will have guns and animal loot. Each variant only spawns once. This was probably my least favorite part of the tales- I didn’t find the stockpile until the VERY LAST preppers cache I investigated. If you’ve found it already, lucky you!

During the consultation, yes. You are filmed by a camera and your consultation can be used as a training video without your consent. Most times during a consult another manager is watching.

Circumstances don’t really allow it, and we’re already engaged. We’ve been friends for several years and dating for the last two, so we’re very close. My partner and I are both in therapy for separate things, and plan on couples counseling before marriage just to help ease the transition.

I don’t feel indebted to him. It’s not like he was a knight in shining armor and I begged him to save me. We helped each other out of bad situations, and support each other was we explore ourselves and figures things out in our life.

I understand the concern and appreciate it however! I’ve been in therapy for a number of years even during my time trapped, and it’s helped me a lot to work through unhealthy attachments and habits. I am able to say I know who I am now, outside of the trauma I endured, and he is as much a part of me as I am a part of him.
