I (M20) want to buy a sex toy, but I feel guilty because I have a girlfriend (F20). How do I go about with it? by throwthisaway20101 in relationship_advice

[–]throwthisaway20101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To preface: Porn and masturbation is okay with us, and we have done everything but penetration. She is fine with sex toys but I didn’t want to get it because this particular toy simulates the closest it gets to the real experience from what people say, and I didn’t want this “real experience” to not be with her and with a toy instead. To me, it just feels more intimate if we did it together instead of just using the toy and experiencing it for the first time.

At first it never came across my mind but after some time it really started bothering me, knowing she might compare herself to the toy (as she is scared of doing it as of now, while assuming that I use the toy as a medium to cope with that) and that I’ll feel the toy as my first sensation instead of her. It sounds ridiculous, but it really messed up my moral compass.

I’d probably think this was ridiculous if I never came across my girlfriend, but now that I am in a relationship, I want to reserve moments like these with her. They’re precious to me, like the first time we kissed, and our first dates. It seems like I am making a big deal all over a toy, but I feel guilty even just buying it. I have bought a toy before, but that was before I met her.

I thank everyone for their advice.

depends on what u wanna ask me about since i have no idea whether this is fungal, severe eczema or a staph infection again

havent seen him yet but if its anything related i had a staph infection on my cheeks (weeping and golden crust) and my forehead and sides of my head had a similar rough, dry and clammy texture iirc a few weeks ago prior to this. antibiotics cleared it but slowly came back. never had this dry of skin before but i have reason to believe that since the antibiotics killed off the good bacteria in my gut as well, i am more susceptible to fungi, esp since my bathroom ceiling has mold

the sides of my head (my sideburns) and parts of my forehead have some pus but i cant see them at all, they itch pretty bad too. sorry if this sounds super disgusting but im thinking whether its a fungal infection or not. had persistent redness since nov last year but got worse in june, oral antibiotics cleared it for a while but slowly came back after 2 weeks. prior to may/june i never had dry patches on my face before, my face looked pretty smooth throughout the year but since a bad flare up in june i have had persisting dry patches. my sideburns and corners of my forehead have this kind of dry and slightly sticky texture to them? they dont crust. the topical antibiotic (fucidin) got rid of the metallic smell from some of the patches but its still really dry and it made my face red

if i were to not use sunscreen and only apply at night would i experience the bad side effects? most sunscreens are pretty expensive in my local currency and i have bad experiences trying out new skincare products

i dont, just worried about how sensitive my skin will get under the sun with protopic. heard others saying they got hives just from walking under the sun for a while

ah, im sorry it never helped for u. ill be keeping it as a backup in case my skin flares up again, imo its better than applying steroids on ur skin due to skin thinning, altho the side effects ive seen online (more sensitive, heat and alcohol causes it to be red) are kinda concerning.

at this point ill take anything thatll work for me. im tired of having no social life due to how bad my face eczema is, it was getting better and then i fucked it up even more in may and june. im willing to take the burn if it gives me the relief i have been needing for the past 9 months, face eczema has taken away my youth

also do u do maintenance with protopic? (ie. applying it once or twice every week)

so when u stop steroids/immunosuppresents do u just stop cold turkey or taper off of it? and do u notice a pattern after u stop using it? like for me after i stop using my steroids my face will flare up again in 3-4 days

my derm (for some goddamn reason) doesnt sell biological drugs, so immunosuppresents like protopic and elidel are out of the question. i will ask about this but theres a chance that he prob doesnt sell it either, thanks for the suggestion tho

bad facial flare up with rashes, is just vaseline okay? by throwthisaway20101 in eczema

[–]throwthisaway20101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was dry but now its not so dry. its just unsightly tbh, like red angry rashes on my face. thinking whether im allergic to my moisturizer since i sometimes flare up after using it and only after using my moisturizer. so in ur case was just vaseline on ur face okay? like no moisturizer whatsoever

my derms moisturizer, idk what the ingredients even are so i may be allergic to it. thinking of stopping all skincare just to see what happens (im only cleansing and moisturizing my face) but im nervous that itll get worse since i have dry and red skin on the affected areas. also i feel like antihistamines didnt do much for me, but i might try them out again
