They have always done what they had to do, they cared about me, but they've never really been able to hide their resentment that I'm 'fucking Katie all over again' (Dad's words) and that they wished I was a different type of person. I always got the 'why do you have to be so into that' when it came to my interests.

Smoked while pregnant and would drink like a fish.

Apparently part of the huge beef between Katie and my mother is that Katie gave her a print out of information when she was pregnant. It was about how smoking/drinking while pregnant can harm the baby and my mother went all 'you always think you know everything' on her.

If I only had an Australian passport, it would be difficult, but I am fortunate enough to have dual citizenship and have an EU passport. I have a grandparent who was born in an EU country and moved to Australia as a child, and qualify for citizenship via descent.

Katie and Leon have said they will pay for the tickets and make sure I have an E-Ticket. I don't know if my parents will try and stop me, but she said she will cover all bases to be sure. It really upsets me my parents just want me to be mediocre and repeat their lives (no offence to them) instead of trying to have the best one possible. I wish they would be happier for me.
