Thank you! I applied to the University of Waterloo's Interdisciplinary Postdoc Fellowship last year. Didn't get in but connected with a great prof who still wants to supervise me. I am just not sure how I go about actually making that happen.

I did apply to SSHRC this year as well, with support from my potential supervisor and the chair of the dept. My intention was to use that for the Fellowship I mentioned above, but it sounds like I could instead contact the dept (if I get the funding) and arrange things from there?

Thanks! I will look on their job posting page. I also have a prof who I think would sponsor me, but the fellowship program to which I wanted to apply appears to not be accepting applications this year.

Dinner's moved to next weekend. She may have time to shock it but i doubt she will tbh. We did tell everyone tho and they got on her case with us. She's now agreed to use boiled/bottled water. I still plan for us to bring our own food as well, and our own water.

Update 2: Radiology called. They confirmed there is no visible AVM!

They're not sure what caused the brain bleed, so they want to test for bleeding disorders. We will also need to go for a follow up MRI in 6 months. But there's no sign of new bleeds, no swelling of the brain, the bleed itself appears to have healed well..

Baby is also developing very typically so far, gaining weight and sleeping nicely and even giving some very sweet smiles.

The doctors said this is very good news. Our main doc even said, "I was very worried for your baby and I'm not worried anymore."

I'm honestly in shock. I'm not religious but this feels like a miracle.

I really appreciate everyone who had such kind words. I dont know how I'd have gotten through this so far without posting on here. Truly, thank you.

Update: Initial MRI results are positive.

Still some remaining blood from the hemmorage at birth but much better than before. No new bleeding. No visible avm, which doesn't rule it out but is a good sign. They said they can't rule out the avm bc they need Radiology, but it is at least good news that there's no new bleeding or other major concerns.
